“Best Bed and Breakfast in the South”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 May 2010

Our stay at the Holly Court Inn was fantastic !! The owner, Phil, is truly a wonderful inn keeper. He made our stay perfect for the both of us. I cannot say enough about this wonderful place. We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast each morning and the romantic dinner served in the parlor for us was one of the best meals that we have ever had at any bed and breakfast. Thanks again to Phil for his hospitality.

“Amazing Hospitality and an Amazing Place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 October 2009

Please, if your going to stay in Washington, GA, Stay at the Holly Court Inn...Truly an amazing experience. Phil and his wife are excellent hosts, Gracious as a word, does not fully describe them. Phil's son, Aaron is the chef, and is truly an amazing chef, the food is absolutely the best I have had in long time. The walnut crusted chicken, you could cut easily with a fork and the taste, was amazing!... We had the best time at dinner. The rooms, were spotless, and beautiful to a TEE!!!... You can tell he takes great pride in his Inn....
Phil, is not a person you would pick out of a police lineup to be a bed and breakfast owner, but his heart and soul is in it and that's where you feel the passion of his profession. We enjoyed his humor, and well as his "I will do anything for you" attitude, and alls you have to do is ask, and he will do his best to make it happen!....
Would we go back, would we recommend this inn to everyone, would we recommend dinner at the inn, all are a resounding YES!!!... Go, you wont be disappointed.

“Tour of Homes Weekend”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 April 2009

My wife and I and another couple had a delightful stay while attending the Washington Spring Tour of Homes. One of the treats of the weekend was that on Fri night most of the B&B's were on tour. Believe me, Holly Court is by far the best of the group. The rooms
are well decorated and private, the bathrooms large and stocked with toiletries. Coffee and juice was available in the upstairs hall at 7:30 am and breakfast in the dining room was at 9 am. Breakfast was very tasty and plentiful. The four of us had dinner at the inn on Sat night. There was another party of four having their dinner in the front parlor while we were in the dining room. Our meal took two hours and while pleasant it just seemed to take too long. The meal was very tasty and apart from the fact that one of us was served the wrong entree was very nice. Overall a great experience, I will go back again.

“The Holly Court Inn is what a B&B is all about…………”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 March 2008

On first impressions, you would imagine a Yankee from the Bronx to be an unlikely candidate as innkeeper of an antebellum mansion in the deepest reaches of the Deep South. Phil, the Innkeeper of the Holly Court Inn in Washington, Georgia was an outstanding host during our recent, all-too-brief stop-over. He has both a real passion for his classic home and a knack for making his guests feel welcome.

From the glass of wine were offered on our arrival to the outstanding breakfast before our departure every detail was perfect. We were rudely interrupted during the evening by a tornado warning (complete with sirens), when Phil and his delightful wife invited us to the safety of their “office basement” to share another glass (or two!).

Washington is an enchanting city and - if you plan a visit - we recommend the Holly Court unreservedly.

“Beatiful Inn and Great Host!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 April 2007

Less than an hours' drive from The Masters in Augusta, this recently renovated, antebellum mansion is managed by a wonderfully friendly and accomodating owner, Phil and his wife. The 2nd floor king-bedded room with balcony is deluxe. Excellent, quality linens and matress. The newly completed bath has a jacuzzi and separate shower. The Public rooms are authentic to the period. This is easily a 'destination' inn for the romantic, the nostalgic, or anyone else who appreciates comfort and southern hospitality. Don't forget to ask Phil for the honeynut breakfast cake....delicious! Online photos at the website are accurate representations of the rooms, too!
