My wife and I stayed at the Howard Johnson's a couple of nights. The staff was friendly, the room was comfortable, clean but nothing out of the ordinary. The location was great as it was just a couple minute walk to the beach and in very close proximity to many of the town's restaurants, bars and shops. We sampled the complimentary breakfast both days of our stay and it was simple but plentiful.

It was "off-season" in Tybee and many of the people we encountered were locals but they were very friendly. The Howard Johnson's won't break your bank if you're looking for a known hotel chain. This one shouldn't disappoint if you have your expectations set appropriately.

We stayed here over Thanksgiving as a stopover on our way to Florida. It is a couple of blocks from beach and located near shops and restaurants. Room was clean and basic. Outdoor Pool was not heated and their is no hot tub option which was disappointing. Desk staff was friendly and helpful. Parking was easy and checkin/out was quick. Price was great!!

Great convenience to the Beach, friendly staff, nice pool, clean hotel. The price was great for the location.

We called to make reservations on the way 2 Tybee. They had availability on a holiday weekend so I was a little concerned. It was clean, affordable and close to the beach. Staff were great. Breakfast was included in the price so that made it even better. We have been to Tybee 4x's and of all the places weve stayed from hotel to condo to campground, I can say we would return.
