Rooms were dirty and maintenance was very, very lacking. The breakfast had more of the equipment not working as to what was. Toaster, microwave, etc not operational. Bad experience overall.

It was raining and lighting so hard that I couldn't drive anymore further that night. When I almost got into the accident because of the rain, I decided to pull over somewhere for a while. Then I got off at exit 58 on I-95 and pulled over my car in front of Days Inn. It was already after 11p.m., and i was so tired since I had been driving for 6 hours from Florida. Although first I was going to park my car just for a few minutes, I decided to stay this Days Inn just for a night because of that bad weather. However, when I about to finish organizing my stuff to bring into this Days Inn in my car, the Indian lady came and knocked my car window so hard(i thought she was going to break into my car for a second) and said "LEAVE if you are not staying here tonight!" The way she said was really so rude and mean and that changed my mind. And I wasn't even there for 3 minutes either. And again, it was raining and lighting so hard that night and it was almost dangerous to drive. I could have stayed in this Days Inn because of the weather even though I could imagine this place looked so old and smelly. But of course I didn't. Since I didn't wanna stay here but It was still dangerous to drive. So I went to the gas station right next to this Days Inn and pulled over my car for another 5 minutes before i hit the road. I stayed at another place that night.

My husband & I live 4 hours away from Townsend. We have a large offshore boat and put it in to fish on the coast near this hotel. We stay here 2-3 days at a time, 2-3 times a month, 6-8 months out of the year. While it's not the Ritz, it has always been clean and comfortable. The Patels are always willing to make us as comfortable as possible - extra towels, pillows, etc. On nights we arrive late, they allow us to park our boat under the lights in front of one of their cameras. When a Nor'ester cuts our trips short and we leave early, they do not charge us for the additional night(s) we no longer need. They have provided us with attached rooms when we bring extra people, and have even helped our guests get in their room when they locked themselves out with the deadbolt (they had exited thru our room when we went to dinner). When we leave each morning at 5am to go fishing, the motel is full - of travelers passing through. They run a very quiet & efficient motel.

I hope in writing this I will save someone the time, aggravation, & money that was waisted on this hotel.

It was 11:30 at night and after driving for 10 hours we were just looking for a place to sleep and take a shower. We didn't need anything extravagant but I wanted something better than a Super 8. We stopped at the Days in Townsend. HWY 57 & I-95 Exit 58 Townsend Georgia. 31331. I went in to get a room and paid for it by Credit Card. My family and & lugged all of our things into this dirty, smelly room. Since we were traveling I had lysol with me and sprayed down the whole room because I was sooo disgusted with the look and the smell of it. My 8 year old went to the bathroom and by the time he came out I had already pulled down the bedding so that we could goto sleep. There was hair in the bed already and I told my husband that I didn't want to stay. The sheets where very old and they where worn down and stained. There was dirt on the floor and the tub looked old dirty and there was no way that I was going to get a shower in there. Also the faucet in the shower was leaking.

I went back to the front desk to tell them that we were leaving and that I wanted my money back and they kept me there for 35 more mins arguing with me that I USED THE ROOM! They would not refund all my money because they said they were charging me $10 for a clean up fee of the room. If the room was CLEANED when I got there then we would have stayed. They told me that since my son used the bathroom and since I turned down the bedding that we messed up the room!!! I have tried to get this rectified with DAYS INN and they told me that they contacted the HOTEL owner and if I wanted my $10 back I would have to get it from the HOTEL..... DAYS INN GUEST SERVICES told me that all the DAYS INN's are individually owned so please.... whatever you do.... DON"T STAY AT ANY DAYS INN's There corporated offices couldn't care less that they have gross, dirty hotels running bearing the DAYS INN NAME!!!!!
