We arrived for check in about 2:00pm and were told no king rooms were clean, so we would have to wait and check in later. We told the desk attendant that it would be after midnight before we would be back, as we were going to a football game in Tallahassee. She said that was fine and that she would leave a note for the night staff that we needed late check-in for a king non-smoking room. When we arrived back for check in late that night, the guy at the desk gave us our room key. When we got to the room, it reeked of cigarette smoke. So, I went back and told him we wanted another king non-smoking room. None were available. The only thing he could offer was a non-smoking room with two double beds. I said fine because it was so late and we needed a place to sleep. It turned out to be just that....a place to sleep. The room smelled moldy and old, the toilet was moldy, the bathroom floor was DIRTY and had hair on it, and the bathtub wasn't very clean either. Also, the radio on the clock did not work. We were very unhappy with our stay and will not be staying here again!! Go spend $30-40 more and stay at the Holiday Inn Express or the Hampton Inn!!

I have stayed in this hotel a couple of times, recently just a month apart. The difference was amazing. The first time, my room was on the "Office Depot" side and was just fine. The most recent stay was on the "abandoned restaurant" side and was not so fine. The bedspread had such large stains on it that is was just nasty looking. The hot breakfast foods were actually cold. I will probably stay there again if I have to go to Thomasville, because there isn't much to choose from in a mid-price hotel in Thomasville.

Overall, the hotel was immaculate and well maintained, with stylish decor. Our room was spacious and had one of the new style, single cup coffee makers, (for which we had to phone the desk to learn how to operate, LOL!)

Staff was very pleasant and helpful.

We arrived by car, after dark, but the hotel was easy to find and appeared to be in a well lit, safe location.

Great breakfast selection which included eggs, both boiled and scrambled w/cheese, biscuits, sausage gravy and the usual other breakfast selections.

It was just a tiny bit noisy, as we could hear the family in the next room when they first arrived. My only other "complaint" is about the mattress, which I found a bit hard - and seems to be a common problem throughout the Comfort Inn chain. Neither of these criticisms should be considered deal-breakers, however.

Our stay was brief, as we were just passing through to another destination, so I don't have any information on nearby attractions, but we will stay there again on out next trip in that direction if timing permits.

I actually made a reservation at a different hotel that advertised pets welcome but ended up at this hotel by accident. Glad I did. The staff was great, welcomed my two large dogs without a fee or deposit and even called the other hotel to cancel my reservation. Great breakfast too.
