We stayed at the HIIExpress, Stone Mountain 26-29 Dec 2011. Our overall expressions of the Hotel are OUTSTANDING...from check-in to check-out, we were made to feel VERY comfortable. We had 8 in our party, and three rooms. The hotel is very clean, the customer service is the BEST. The breakfast area is very inviting and the food was plentiful and very tasty. We are a military family and have stayed at hotels from coast to coast, I can say that this Holiday Inn Express was great. We would love to stay there again.

We originally tried to book a room in Stone Mountain Park, but they were unavailable and also much more expensive than this hotel. We chose the hotel for the close proximity to the park entrance and also for the very reasonable price of the rooms. The facility looks new and clean inside and out and the whole building (even the elevator) smells clean and nice. The staff is friendly and helpful and the breakfast is HUGE (biscuits, gravy, bacon, sausage, eggs, pancakes, cinnamon rolls, cereal, yogurt, etc.) They even scrambled to accomodate the huge group that showed up right before the end of breakfast time (a very generous 9:30am on weekdays, by the way) by restocking most of the breakfast items. It is also close to a Walmart and many restaurants. We were extremely pleased with our stay here and how much it exceeded our expectations, and would highly recommend staying here to anyone visiting the area!

Overall pleasant experience. Booked online sight unseen for a short notice one night stay. 2 adults on kid (15). Most of the other places tacked on extra fees for the extra "kid"...not this one. Rented a double queen room, it was very clean. Arrived for check in about 30 mins before 3p.m.(the offical check in time). Ms. Ruby at the front desk politely checked us in, we dropped off our bags and upon returning downstairs she offered us a local directory/map of various restaurants and businesses in the immediate area. The building was very clean,I didn't bother to read the reviews before hand, but I can tell you now, all the construction mess is gone and the place was in tip top shape. Room was clean and comfortable, tv/fridge/microwave...didn't use them.. but they are there if you need too. It was quiet, ac/heat unit worked great..lots of hot water for shower, plenty of towels.. breakfast was what you would expect..for a continental breakfast...OJ.. was just a little more H20 than OJ..but hey...the coffee was good!! So all in all.... we were happy, rested, and the price was right and the service and employees were friendly and accommodating.

This hotel is beautiful! The renovation they just did is stunning. The rooms are big, the beds are amazing and the staff is top notch! Very close to the park and easy to get to. One of the cleanest places I have stayed in a LONG time!
