Since I am in the hotel industry, I rarely write reviews. I stayed here for 2 nights with my 12 year old son. We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly! I look through eyes that even road warriors don't look through. Everything was very clean, and the service was spot on! I look forward to staying here again.

I stay at this hotel once a year for an annual conference. It is always in January, so I haven't done much outdoors except to play golf (go with Stonemont for a challenge, Lakemont for the views) and do some jogging. Despite the cold winter months, this is a fabulous property. Great views of the lake from most rooms, great views of Stone Mountain from the restuarant. Rooms are typical Marriott -- nicely appointed, clean, modern, good beds and bedding. The Friday night seafood buffett is worth every dime. Love drinking a coffee in the lobby by the great fireplace or on the porch. Great property for conferences/business meetings. Convenient to all Stone Mountain has to offer.

We stayed at this resort for a long weekend for our daughter to attend a dance competiton. The room was very comfortable with a view to the pool and lake. You do not need to pay the park entrance fee if you tell them you are staying at this hotel. Even though the service was overall very good I would not recommend the restaurant in the hotel which serves an average type of buffet dinner. Decatur is a few minutes away with great dining options. Aside from that I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Overall a very nice hotel. Foodservice is limited to a nice buffet restaurant or bar food. Food at a golf course restaurant a few miles away on other side of lake can be charged to room. In a quiet area of Stone Mountain Park. A word of caution, you'll have to pay $10 park entrance fee to get to the hotel.
