“Super Friendly Staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 August 2010

Me and my family camped there last week, great staff, very friendly and helpful, very nice campground but definitely be careful what site you get, we have a 31ft camper and a 26ft truck and could not park both of them in there without parking the truck sideways and up against the tree. We were on #366 and this site had power problems, our power kept going on and off til they brought us an adapter(way to hot for that), our picnic table was on the hill in the woods, but they do have some very nice spots just wasn't told that on the phone.

Stress free, staff awsome, absolutely helpful, from the reservation desk to the cleaning persons. Cleanest shower and public restrooms I have ever been. At least every 30 min a small truck passed and collected garbage bags from sites, no mess around. Happy campers, clean pool, Sunday service with coffee, hot cocoa and donuts FREE!, convenient store right in site full equipped. My kids enjoyed, we stayed at the yellow zones and we truly enjoyed. Weather was great and that helped too, not too hot was not cold at all, and not rainy either. Security 24 hours. We love it and want to stay longer!!!

“nice place. be careful what campsite you get!!!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 April 2010

We stayed there for spring break 2010. Our campsite was nice. It would have been
awful if our kids were small. We had lg. rocks and big drop off Site #329. There was
ALOT worse sites. The pollen was horrible and our son suffered all week. All our stuff
and Camper was coated in pollen. Some campsites were right on edge of rd. It seems
it was the worst for the pull through lake side. Some were VERY uneven so bring leveling
wood. The park was real nice. Skyhike stayed Very busy. So go first thing in morning
or you will have a 2 hour wait. It was up to 2 hour wait after 1/2 after opening. It was worth
going. We will go again, just not in the spring (WORST POLLEN EVER). Be very careful
what site you get. If you have sm. children don't get lakeside sites. Site are also right next to each other no privacy at all. Not a good place for bikes or scooters either. roads are horrible and narrow. Saw alot of kids riding down rd. with big trucks and trailer right
behind them. Scary! Alot of vehicles parked on rd.edge. So between them and kids on bikes with big truck driving in. Not good. My kids ages are 12 & 8 They had a blast!
The laserlight show was great! We had a lot of fun at the park.

“What a great campground!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 April 2010

We stayed here for spring break March 2010. The four us loved this campground. Probably the best campground we have ver stayed at. We were right next to the lake and a beautiful view of the mountain. Our campsite # 195 was very big wedge shaped outside lot. Had electrical, water, BBQ, fire pit, bathroom close by with super hot and clean showers, playgound near by, pavillion with TV-rocking chairs-couches etc. camp store well stocked, I really can't say enough good things about this place. I highly recommend. Another goos site is #69 I'm gonna try that one next time.

“One of the best campground in the USA”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 April 2010

We spent a few days at Stone Mountian campground. In fact we spend 1 extra day becauses of a mechanical issue with our coach. Joe who is the maint man at the campground personally drove me into town in his own car to help get some parts. The staff at the desk was great and understanding. The sites were clean, well kept and roomy. Free Wi-Fi in the campground. The pool wasn't open yet bet is nice and the playground is great. The bathrooms were one of the cleanest bathhouses I have ever seen at a campground!!!! Security was some of the highest we have ever seen, totaly felt safe and allowed our kids to run free. We had so many nice people approach us! The lake side sites and the premium are worth the upgrades. A full size grill is on a deck at the premium sites! We loved this campground and will make it a point to stop when traveling south through the Atlanta area.

The shuttle only runs on the weekends to the park, so plan accordingly, it was free! Sunday coffee, hot chocolate and donuts was a great addition, the pavillion is a great place to hang out. The staff between the campground and the amusment park needs to get on the same page, we had some confusion on what was going on between the two. The staff at the Marriot allowed our kids to come and swim in the pool at the hotel, this was a huge plus.
