“Nice Place - Unique Layout”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 July 2011

I have been here for over a month. The front desk staff is always friendly and helpful. I think all of the rooms have full kitchens with full size fridge, range with oven, microwave and large sink. If you are experienced in construction you can tell that this place isn't new but it has been well taken care of and newly remodeled. The rooms I've had were clean and spacious. I really like this place but there are a few things to keep in mind. First, if you can do stairs, ask for a second floor room. The floors don't seem to have a lot of sound proofing so you may hear the pitter patter of little feet and kids jumping off of the couch upstairs. There is a lite reception dinner on Monday through Wednesday evening. Get there early because when the food runs out they don't always replace it. Breakfast sometimes has the same issue. The food and selection for breakfast is good though. Some rooms have fireplaces if you're here in a cooler season and into them. The pool is nice and seems to be well maintained as is the spa.
I would definatly stay here again.

“We loved our stay at this Inn”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 June 2011

After being moved from another Residence Inn, because of over booking we had no idea what to expect when we checked in at this Inn. It is set up kind of like condominiums with exterior entrances. Everything was clean and very comfortable within our rooms and we were in a very quiet and secure area of Sandy Springs just a few blocks from the interstate. The breakfast each morning was great and the staff very friendly. Plenty of shopping nearby as well as good places to eat. The only negative was not the Inn itself but rather the greatly increased travel time it took to travel to our conference each day during peak traffic. If this place were near any future destination we have we would love to stay here again.

“Terrible! Scary, unsafe property! Not really Marriott quality!”

This hotel was recently remodeled and the appearance of the rooms was nice- on the inside. Ours were non/smoking rooms but smelled like smoke. We actually had to check out at 10:00 at night, after arriving only a few hours earlier, because we discovered the hotel was in a very bad area and felt unsafe having our teenage daughters staying in the room next door with outdoor entrances in such a bad area. There were some pretty seedy people staying there as well and it was pretty creepy. The hotel manager refused to refund our room charges for two rooms even though we were only in the rooms for a few minutes! Absolutely the worst hotel experience we've ever had. In fact, we will probably never stay in a Marriott brand hotel again!

“Stay Away!!!!!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 March 2011

If you are looking for a 2 bedroom suite that has holes in the furniture, dirty walls , dirty carpet, loose locks, electrical appliances from 1972, tiny bathrooms, and an unkept exterior than this is your place!!!!!
This property needs a major update. When we arrived it was late and dark and that didn't even make the place look good. We spent one night and spent the next day trying to find other 2 bedroom accommodations. The only thing we can say is that the staff was cordial and apologetic about the dilapidated property. They prorated the 2nd day and told us that the hotel was supposed to get a renovation in February 2011 but it didn't happen. We were originally going to spend 7 days there, but found excellent accommodations at the Staybridge Suites where we stayed for the remainder of the trip. We always check trip advisor and this time we didn't because we were in a hurry...we will never make that mistake again!!

“Hotel Sucks”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 January 2011

This hotel was easy to locate and within easy access of Marta and other attractions, However, it was horrible. Reservation was wrong, and could not be remedied as the hotel was "booked up". We decided this was okay. When we asked the 'registration clerk' how to get to Marta, she 'had no clue'. After asking our waiter at a local restaurant, he was able to tell us exactly how to get to the station from our hotel. We asked again after lunch and were told by the 'afternoon' clerk the same thing, "no, I don't use Marta so I don't know where it is". The ice maker ran all night and could not be turned off--teh bucket had already overflowed into the freezer....the bathroom was barely big enough to turn around in, and the TV remote didn't work. The walls were paper-thin; we were able to hear our neighbors when they got up at 4:00 a.m. You could hear the showers and the people dropping things in them all morning. There was not adequate parking, even though everyone we talked with said they were in the same vehicles (i.e. 1 per room). Our comment card was put in the trash bag in front of us as we stood there. A really bad experience, and I won't be staying Marriott for a long time.
