I highly recommend staying at the Claremont House Bed and Breakfast. The house is gorgeous and romantic. The inn keepers are delightful. They have extensive knowledge about the history of the house and do their utmost to ensure you have a pleasant stay. The rooms are very welcoming and comfortable. As if that were not enough, the food is scrumptious!! You could not find a better place to stay when in Rome than the Claremont House!!! After my wonderful visit, I am planning on having my wedding reception there! ;-)

My sister and I stayed the night at the Claremont as part of a much needed getaway. Holly and Chris were gracious welcoming hosts. This B&B is elegant, unique, and warm. Holly visited with us over our delicious breakfast, which we enjoyed immensely.

We were so impressed with the Claremont, and it's innkeepers that we decided to stay again en route home.

We stayed at the Claremont House on our wedding night, and it was WONDERFUL! The house is so pretty, and it's a real experience. So much better than staying in a cold generic hotel! The owners were out of town at the time, but the guys who they left in charge were super nice. They made us chocolate chip pancakes! Yum! The bathroom is also perfect for getting ready for your wedding. ( I stayed the night before as well, with my bridesmaids.) Great natural light, a beautiful old tub, and a huge mirror. Loved it!

We stayed two nights at the Claremont House recently and also had a great stay. Very beautiful 125 year old Victorian home with much of the original woodwork still in place. It is like stepping back in time. Holly and Chris were very welcoming hosts and happy to share the history of the house with guests. The breakfasts were delicious and on the traditional side. We stayed in the Magnolia Room, which is quite large and comfortable. And we had a great dinner at the Harvest Moon restaurant downtown. Definitively worth a stay if you are looking for a quieter place with character, particularly one that is very pet friendly. It seems to be popular for weddings so you may want to inquire if one is scheduled at the time of your planned visit. But it did not interfere with our stay, but just put more, happy people in the house during the day. A great place to stay if you are in Rome.
