If you are looking for a great place to stay that is around 7 miles from down town Savannah and 25 miles from Tybee Island Beach and 8 miles from Savannah Airport. The Holiday Inn Express in Port Wentworth is the place. It is conveniently located off exit 109 on I-95. They provide superior customer service, great rooms and a good breakfast. It is always my first choice when visiting Savannah, GA

Loved our stay here - can't wait to come back again. Stayed here for a night on the road, but now looking at coming back to stay for a Savannah vacation! Friendly staff, super huge rooms, everything clean and new.

The hotel was a disapointment and not up to Holiday Inn Express normal standards.

I should have know it was a low class property when I checked in because it was obvious there were people staying their long term.

MY room was really not any cheaper than most HI express's but the hotel was not nearly as nice. The hotel reeked of smoke.

Based on this experiance I would not stay there again

I rather enjoyed my stay that this hotel. I got a free upgrade to a suite for being a Platinum member, and it was roomy, comfortable, and clean. The pool was well maintained, if still a little cool in early may. Breakfast was consistently good in the mornings, never short for juice, sausages, biscuits, eggs, gravy, fruit, etc. Access is very nice being right off I 95, and if you are visiting Port Wentworth, you can drive straight down Hwy 21 to town, and continue on to Downtown Savannah, or take I-95 to I-16 and it deposits you right on MLK on the edge of the historic district. My only problem with the hotel is the Internet service provider. They make you refresh your connection every 4 hours or so, but the real problem is flashing pop up ads that are difficult to turn off. Also, for the first time ever, my public email account I use for trips appears to have been compromised while I was there too. I started using my blackberry for all secure Internet access immediately afterward.
