I travel with my two dachshunds and it can be a challenge to find a better than average hotel along I-95 on our way to Florida. Stopped late without a reservation (after 9 p.m.) with the dogs and my teenage son at this exit in Georgia that had been written up as being loaded with hotels to choose from. The sweet gal at the front desk worked with me on the price to keep me from going to the next La Quinta down the road that had a special I had printed out before I left home. We were given a beautiful room on the top (3rd) floor. Usually with pets, the hotels stick you on the first floor off in a corner and it can be nasty. This was a sparkling clean, beautiful room. Slept like babies. Beds pretty hard and we like our pillows a bit squishier. Just our preferences... Free breakfast was great -- made myself waffles and son ate cereal -- coffee and oj and a long dog walk to take care of business and we were on our way. Thanks, La Quinta.
