This hotel was definitely the most unique of the five we stayed in during our trip to Florida for spring break.
My teenage sons and I stayed for one night at this property on our way home from a trip to Florida.
We normally do not stay at hotels that allow pets but the price, Choice Gold rating and garden area led to my choosing this hotel for our one night stay.
Our room (107) presented as being recently remodeled with new wallpaper. The room had excellent beds, however the rollaway was very uncomfortable with loose springs from which you sagged in really bad. The room had a large bathroom area, which was laid out in a way that others are not disturbed while your getting ready in the morning.
All of the rooms are drive up and unload which I really liked. The room had no signs of pet odors or any pets ever having been in the room.
This hotel was built in 1962. The office is in a colonial style building. The breakfast was adequate. The outside grounds are beautiful and must have really been something to see when they were kept up better. Many beautiful flowering plants and trees. There is a small plantation house at the back of the grounds.
The staff was great and welcoming. We would definitely stay at this hotel again in the future.
