We chose this hotel because of the coupon eligibility and thr advertised spa which we thought was a fitness center. When we arrived we found that the spa meant an empty hot tub. In addition we were given a room on the I-75 side of the hotel which was very noisy because of I-75. In the morning the advertised hot breakfast was very spartan. There wasn't any fruit or yogurt and only 2 cereal choices with a bottle of frozen milk. In addition, no newspapers were available so suffice to say that this hotel is off our list

We stayed here for one night on our Florida trip over the holidays. The rooms are clean and well furnished with a microwave and refrig and modern tv. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was immaculate. It is a great choice to stay on your way to or from Florida. If I had the occasion to stay in Perry for a few days for work or pleasure I would also stay here again. The breakfast room is quite nice and offered boiled eggs, donuts, waffles, cereal and other bread products. It was very good. There is also a covered pool that we did not use but was clean and nice. It is a great bargain.

We stayed there for Christmas 2011 and when we first arrived at nearly 11:00PM, our first room had cockroaches. We were quickly given a different room, which we gladly took. The next room we got had a leaky roof and half of one of the beds was wet with stains. We called and complained and got the bedding change. The owner's son said that he would personally make the case to get the pet fee's waived to make things right. Next morning we go to shower and the shower head shoots almost all of the water out the side! Luckily there was a smaller shower head halfway down the pipe that was children's height. I took a shower and at 6'0" was required to kneel down on my knees to be able to properly shower. We complained about the shower head and the manager sent someone immediately and we arranged to have it fixed later as our dog would be gone with us all day. They worked on it and it improved but still a substantial amount of water shot out the side and was unusable because it would flood the bathroom. On Christmas Day, it rained and the roof leaked but this time on the carpet instead of bed. On checking out, the owner denied ever talking with his son and refused to honor their pledge to waive the pet fees. He said we should of just kept switching rooms, but we were here to visit family and enjoy Christmas not spend all day switching rooms. He also said he would call us and talk about but never did. There are plenty of newer hotels without bad and deceptive management in Perry that there is absolutely no reason to stay there. We will never stay there again.

While traveling, i stopped in Perry and stayed at this Econo Lodge. It is an older facility, but my experience was that is was clean and safe, and looked as if it had been renovated at some time. The staff was nice and pleasant, and very accommodating. This is a frequent travel route for me, and this hotel will stay on my list of places to stay! The rate was also very affordable! A great value.
