“Ok hotel, but housekeeping is LACKING”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 November 2011

This hotel was previously ran under a different name, and their name is still on EVERYTHING; the carpet, the walls, bedding, etc. The only thing that says Ramada is the sign out front. They have tried to remodel, but need to try harder. The bed in our room was broken, so that when you got in, both of us rolled to the middle. There was a huge roach on the floor, thankly it was dead. There was left over evidence that prior guests had a wild night. Housekeeping should have noticed this. After showing the manager how dirty the room was, he offered us a free night, but as we have no need to travel to this area again, the free night will do us no good. Would have been nice to just get the night we stayed credited back to us.

Dear Valued Guest,
It was a pleasure spending time with you upon check-out, I’m sorry we didn’t meet under the best of circumstances. As we discussed, we’d love to have to back as our guest for not living up to your standards. The issues that I noted during our conversation have been addressed with housekeeping. I’m equally sorry that you found a Palmetto bug, indigenous to the area, in your room. Our pest control company was alerted of the situation and treated the entire hotel, ahead of their normal monthly application; they would also like me to extend an apology on their behalf. I’d once again offer you a complimentary stay in one of our award winning suites to compensate you for your inconveniences. Thank you again for your patronage.

“Would Rather Sleep in Car”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 November 2011

I "Won" this hotel on hotwire.
It was really really really bad and the worst hotel I have been in in years of travel.
There is a maze of rooms and it took quite a while to find my room--the maids do not speak English, and it is laid out quite odd.
The room had a silver metallic looking wallpaper that I remember from the 60's or 70's. It was coming apart at several seams. The curtains matched but looked like a cat had had a good time climbing them--maybe several cats over the last 40 years. They were missing a few drapery hooks and dangled freely. It was the smallest hotel room I have ever been in.
The air did not come on and the room smelled very musty. There were only two lamps to light the entire room. The bathroom had no soap, shampoo, etc.
The carpeting was filty and beyond disgusting. The doors along the hallway were all beat up.
I was moved to another room which was just as bad. It was as if this hotel was built 40-50 years ago and not maintained or updated.
I noticed as I passed the breakfast area a few things like the juice machine had out of order signs on them.
I got this hotel on Hotwire--it is not as described at all. I have read on 2 other forums of other people getting it and being totally disappointed. I was able to pay a little bit more and move to a much better hotel in the area.
Stay away from this dump!!!!

Room Tip: There are no good rooms here. Stay somewhere else.

“awesome price for style of room”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 November 2011

I booked my reservation on hotwire.com so I saved a great deal. I thought the hotel was really clean inside and out. Staff was friendly but conflicting. Two employees said checkout was 11 one employee said checkout was 12. I checked out at 11 to be on the safe side so not to be charged for an extra day. I was so comfortable that I was tempted to stay an extra day. Quiet at night, comfortable king size bed, great area near the freeway and local restaurants. I'd recommend friends and family to stay here. I'd definitely stay here again. Negatives no hangers in my room, thermostat off, fridge unplugged all items were solved once I reported them to staff in a reasonable time frame. I drove 16 hours so when I arrived and checked in I was exhausted staff was quick and efficient at check-in and check-out

Room Tip: room was very spacious

“I Love the Suites, But Hate the Single Rooms”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 July 2011

This last trip was my 5th time staying at this location, but the first time I was placed in a single room. I couldn't imagine staying in the room with one or more people, even if they are family members. The suites in the hotel are nice and comfortable for long stays or stays with more than one person.

However, the single rooms are tiny and cramped. They had two night stands and a dresser in the room. However, the night stand was so close to the dresser, it is impossible to use the dresser drawers.

The room was clean, and the refrigerator and desk were fine for my two night stay.

“AWFUL!!!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 July 2011

I stayed (well, tried to stay) there during a trip with friends. First of all.....the hotel pictures may seem pretty...it's not! The rooms are beyond TACKY! It is a maze and not convenient to go from the parking to your room. We checked in and I called down to ask for a blanket - I was told they didn't have any extra blankets. The beds are old and unconfortable. I used the restroom and the toilet handle broke and was not useable. I called down to the desk and she said that maintenance would not be in until the morning. In the morning I called back and was told they would be up shortly. Two hours later we left for the day and I stopped by the front desk and again, asked that someone fix the toilet. I was told it would be fixed while we were gone. I also asked for more towels since there were only 3 towels for 4 people. When we got back to our room (at 1 am) the toilet had not been touched...there were no towels....and there were people (about 50) partying in the room next to us. There was a security gaurd in the hallway screaming at them telling them that he would "show them his gun if they wanted". We went into our room and requested to be moved. The room they were going to move us to had a broken air conditioner. The people partying left, and we were informed that they would not return and that the lock had been rekeyed. The "security guard" offered my children the punch that the people had left behind! REALLY???? About an hour later they people returned and started partying again. We left the hotel at 3 am and found a much better hotel. The breakfast is juice, coffee (which was broken) and some cold bagels and muffins in a package. In fairness, the manager refunded our room costs, but it was still a major inconvenience. I would NEVER stay there again - no matter what the cost is!!
