I stayed at this property in 2011, the week between Christmas and New Year's. I traveled with my wife and two young kids, and my parents. We stayed in the two-bedroom suite so the kids could sleep in the evenings before the adults were ready to go to bed.
Location: We could not have been happier with the location of this property in the near-Atlanta area. We were about 25 minutes from downtown and about 20 minutes from Stone Mountain, plus only minutes away from a very nice shopping mall and multiple shopping centers. We were able to get to our desired attractions with minimal traffic and mostly interstate/highway travel.
Cleanliness: The room did not WOW us with its sparkling cleanliness. What is mean is: It was not dirty, but it did not give a great first impression of the room being cared for. There were ladybugs crawling on the ceilings (not a big deal, but still not a good impression). The carpets looked old but not old or dingy enough to stop us from walking around barefoot. So ultimately, we were OK with the room's cleanliness level, but not much more than that.
Amenities: The lobby was very nice to spend a few minutes. There was always coffee available, plus comfy sofas, a TV, and an open-use computer with Internet and basic business applications - plus a printer! A continental breakfast was served each morning, with juices, mlik, cereal, grits, bagels, and fruit. Everyone in our group appreciated getting to munch there before heading out to the day's events.
Staff: Laurie, the manager, was extremely helpful and friendly in assisting us with finding places to eat, shop, travel, etc. On New Year's Eve, someone apparently threw their take-out food on the floor in the hallway of our building, and Laurie came out personally to clean up the mess right away after we reported it to her.
All in all, I would recommend this as a place to stay in the future. The rate was VERY reasonable, especially considering breakfast was included. We were able to quickly get anywhere we needed to go. And the property does not have as many rooms as other hotels, so it was very quiet.
