NOT acceptable.
8/23/08. Spent one night here after a very long day's travel, wanting only a good bath and rest. Checked in at 1 AM on late arrival. The room we were given was not clean- the mirrors had film from smoke or something as well as splatters of dried water or drink on them, the mattress had stains all over the side, the carpet was about two years past due for a shampoo, and the walls had patches in several places. But the worst was the tub- a very old mauve whirlpool, which didn't drain completely and so had water in it from the last user, and- soap scum around the sides. Leaks around the border had been damaging the tile deck, and it had brown construction adhesive smeared around the rim as caulking. We skipped the bath. This is a combination of poor housekeeping and physical deterioration which is obvious- and obviously being ignored. For one third the money, you can get the same sleazy conditions at the no-tel "Ho"-tel. This is an unacceptable dump.

Do not stay here!!! We checked in late at night on our way down to Fl. The room smelled heavily of smoke, and while not listed as non-smoking, I didn't expect it to be so heavy. The bathroom was atrocious. There were holes in the wall, the floor wasn't clean and the soap and shampoo used by the previous occupant was still there. I suspect it wasn't cleaned at all. I slept on top of the comforter because who knows what was in the sheets. Only one light was working over the sink. It also looked as though the hotel was being used as an apt. for some families with many small kids - who ran up and down the breezway all night. If it hadn't been so late, we would have gone elsewhere. This hotel deserves NEGATIVE stars.

I made a reservation at this hotel as a stop over from Daytona Beach going to Chattanooga, TN. We traveled by motorcycle and knew it was just too far to ride in one day.

I made this reservation via the internet on their website. I NEVER make a reservation that cannot be canceled as you never know what is going to happen either before you get to travel or while traveling.

We pulled up to this hotel after riding for 10 hours. Unbelieveable is the only way to describe it. There were used cars filling up the entire parking lot. It looked like a trailer park with an autobody shop at the same location. It was trashy and run down. I never even stepped foot inside. I wouldn't stay there on a bet. There was nothing in the area as far as restaurants or places for a drink. Just terrible.

We found another hotel, this was at 2 p.m. in the afternoon. After we had checked in to the new place I called the hotel directly to cancel my reservation. A girl that sounded like she was about 12 years old, told me I couldn't cancel a reservation by telephone that I had made on line! Can you imagine? The policy clearly stated cancel before 4 p.m. I explained that I was traveling via motorcycle and didn't have a computer. She said too bad, that's the way we do it! I was floored. I called back again and asked to speak with the manager. She told me there was no manager there and wouldn't be. They were going to charge me for the room. They sure did! They actually charged my credit card 6 days before the reservation date.

We travel all the time and this has never happened before. I disputed the charge with my credit card company and have my cell phone bill to prove that I called before the deadline. I will be writing directly to the hotel and to the corporate office. I will not stay in a Super 8 ever. They would never be my first choice anyway, but it was just a stopover night. Boy did I learn my lesson. DO NOT STAY HERE. There are plenty of other hotels in the area to try.
