I had been staying at this hotel during a NASCAR event in town for work. As a result the hotel had a 3 night minimum stay which in my opinion is just pure greed. The 3 night minimum was really unimportant as I would be staying there 3 nights anyhow. 2nd day I received a call my father who was fighting Cancer took a bad turn. Tried to check out but the hotel manager refused checkout the third day even though there were 100,000 people in town and the room would most certainly be sold. No compassion, my father did pass away early the next morning. Choice hotels and the hotel manager did not care. They were only interested in taking customers with their hiked up rates and minimum stay requirement. If you have other options when staying in McDonough Ga avoid this place.

We stayed here on our way to Savannah. We knew we would get in very late and leave early so a pricer hotel seemed like a waste of money. This hotel is right on the interstate but we had no noise problems. Our 40 lb dog was traveling with us so we needed a hotel that allowed pets ($10 fee). They apparently set aside some rooms for pets and I was afraid it would smell bad but it was fine. The room had a king bed and a couch as still felt large. There was nothing especially nice about the room but it felt clean if a little run down. The towels were of the very cheapest type and one bath towel had a hole you could pass a grapefruit through! The guy at the desk was ok. We did not partake of the breakfast and never expect the free continental breakfast to be worth eating anyway--we bring our own stuff and use the refridgerator and microwave. My husband got our coffee at the nearby McDonalds (no Starbucks in the area). The tv and free high speed internet worked fine. If you just need to get some sleep and you don't care how fancy your room is, this place is fine.

The hotel was in convenient location to interstate. There was a Cracker Barrel on the other side of interstate, so food was not difficult to find. The rooms were clean and cleaning staff did a great job, too good in fact. They threw away a bottle I had washed out to keep and put MY notebook containing all my hotel reservations for work in with the notebook about the hotel. (I almost left it behind because it wasn't where I left it). The ladies who worked the front desk were friendly but had little authority to help with any hotel problems. When we arrived, our reservation came up for one night instead of 4. Lucky for us, they weren't sold out the rest of our stay so they could give us a room for all 4 nights. Then the problems arose, First they couldn't get our company credit card to work so we had to give them our personal card. (Had to call the boss who got the bank on the line about the card and they had to get on the line to the hotel before we finally got the business card to work) and then the computer of course wanted to charge us the going rate for the weekend which was double what we had confirmed since it was race weekend and the desk clerk couldn't change it. The manager was the only one who could and he was not there. He was due to work the night shift so the clerk said she would have him fix it when he came in. We checked next morning and nothing had been done about it. The clerk on duty, a different one, copied our reservation and said she would have him fix it since he would be in and out all day. We checked that afternoon and a different clerk said there was still no change. She said the manager said that it was race weekend and the rates went up. Others in our party had reservations as well and their rate was also double what it should be . The person handling their reservations called Choice Hotels corporate and she was told that the hotel HAD to honor the reservations. Finally, the manager did change the rates on our reservation to the confirmed rate. It wasn't a bad place to stay but it left a bad taste in my mouth because of the reservation snafu.

We were there this summer for the ISA World Series (fastpitch softball). The hotel is in a very convenient location. There are plenty of food places around and any kind of shopping you need. The hotel is new and there was another building going up right next to it. There was major construction going on while we were there, but I have to say, there were no noise issues from it.
It was clean and comfortable and the staff was nice.
