“America's most disgusting inn”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 August 2011 via mobile

After reading the the reviews after booking the hotel I was scared of what I might find. The staff was extremely friendly but that was te only satisfying part. The hotel looks run town and so does the front desk. The room smelled like dirty feamle parts, the tv didnt work, there was no shampoo, holes in the wall! If it wasn't for just stoping to catch up on sleep on te way to fl I would NEVER sleep there, there are several hotels in the surrounding area choose somewhere else!

“Never again; not worth the money!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 July 2011

I stayed at this hotel for one week due to the a/c at the condo that I was renting going out. Let me see, where do I begin. I was charged a flat rate of $200, which seemed suspicious, but I was running out of options and needed to stay in the Marietta area. The room was horrible. This hotel is a flop house to say the least. The toilet seat needed to be replaced (a $5 investment from Walmart), the pillows are nothing but a bundle of cotton balls, the cover for the a/c unit fell apart, and the television was on its last leg. I could only hear every other word of what anyone on the tv was saying. When I brought this to the attention of the manager, he said that he would send maintenance to fix it. When maintenance arrived, he pretended not to know or understand what the problem was. I went back to the front desk to request another television, and the clerk on duty told me that all of the televisions work the same, wow! So scary! I had to put up with a tv that flickered off and on, plus could only see half of the channels. I checked in on a Friday, yet housekeeping didn't come by to "offer" to clean my room until Wednesday, two days before I was to check out! This was opposite of what I was told upon checking in. Everything in the room was old and broken down; the furniture, appliances, and tv. When it was time to check out, I asked the clerk for a late check out (1 hour), and he tried to hustle me out of $10. I thought that he was joking, but this guy wanted me to pay him $10 so that he could put the cash in his pocket, and not the cash register. Geez, what a crook! And, there is no a/c in the common areas, so when I got a candy bar from the vending machine, I had to put it in the frig for awhile. And, there is no hot water for the guest washing machine, which tells me that the guest sheets and towels are being washed in cold water; that would explain the stains on some of the towels. In order to use the wifi in the room, you had to place your computer in a particular corner of the room. LOL!

Never again will I make this mistake. There are other hotels, that charge less and have a much nicer, cleaner property. The one thing that this hotel has going is quietness. It was very quiet, even at night.

“Worst Hotel Ever”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 April 2009

I agree "littlebudgettraveler" above from Feb 21.

I stayed here one miserable night last summer and thought by now this place would be closed. The photo of the nice looking room on their web site is not indicitave of the room I was in. They would not explain the difference in what's in the photo and the rooms they supply.

fter my stay I complained to Choice and to AAA and was told it was changing from a Econo to something else. AAA said it would be "reviewed" -- not sure what that meant. My complaints were -- deadbolt would not work; AC would not work; carpet was filthy (both in room and hallway); holes in wall and torn wallpaper; some doors to offce/lobby were locked requiring taking a different route; and staff was indifferent. Especially the part about the AC not working and I had "used" the room so could not move to another.

My complaints next morning were met with "_________".

What is really upsetting is that Choice does nothing. I thought by April '09, it would no longer be an Econo Lodge.

“What A Dump!”

Stopped here for one night on way to Florida and if it hadn't been so late in the evening and raining cats and dogs, would've found somewhere else! Front desk staff was unfriendly and area around front desk old and dirty. The room was old, dirty and smelly. As were only going to be sleeping there for a few hours, just made the best of it. The bedding wouldn't stay on the bed, used our own pillows because there's were disgusting. Didn't even bother to use shower because was also quite dirty. Would not stay there again if it meant sleeping in the car! Kids are still talking about how awful it was!
