We were visiting Stone Mountain for a family get away. Our first bad experience in the room involved two nasty wads of gum stuck to the back of the bathroom door handle.
Next came breakfast: my wife placed an order for us, and food was promptly delivered for her and the kids. After about 30 mins. I inquired with one of the staff about my food. I was told to sit down, and it would be brought out when it was ready. It was finally brought out, and it was not what I ordered. I then waited another ten minutes while it was prepared again. Having finished their meals, my family sat and waited for mine.
The next morning, we came down for breakfast, and the hostess had seated several individuals at four-tops. There were two four-seat tables that didn't have people seated, but they were covered in dirty dishes. The four of us were seated at a two-seat table with a high-chair. Again, we waited about 30 minutes for our food to be brought out.
They had run out of apple juice and lids for the cups. When my wife inquired, she was rudely told that they were out with no other explanation.
The biggest issue with all of this was that the staff just did not care. There was never any kind of apology (insincere or otherwise) for the constant inconveniences. I cannot resolve the other reviews that raved about the service. It was among the worst I've received in a very long time.
