“Clean room, friendly staff.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 August 2011

We recently stayed at this hotel for one night. I was a little concerned about it after reading some recent reviews. However, we booked the room primarily due to a great rate. The lobby was clean and tidy. The check in person was very professional and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is not new but everything in the room was comfortable, clean and worked well –including the internet and cable. The room was quiet and thanks to the hotel’s location a few blocks away for the freeway there was no road noise in the rooms or outside the hotel. When returning from dinner the desk clerk stopped us and spoke to us and made sure we knew that he had fresh chocolate chip cookies ready for guests. The price was excellent, the room was clean, the room was quiet, everything worked well, and the staff was friendly.

Room Tip: we booked this room thorugh Priceline's name your own price service and the rate was about half...

“Horrible Place. Stay next door, it's worth the extra few dollars.”

My boyfriend and I were spending a few days at Six Flags and White Water and chose the Courtyard Marriott instead of the SpringHill Suites next door. Bad choice. The staff at the front desk were rude and carried on with personal conversations while we waited to be checked in. The room was not clean and outdated, like most Courtyard's. There is an indoor pool, which makes the lobby muggy and stinks of chlorine. Breakfast was outrageously expensive and the service was horrible. Would not stay here again.

“No Internet, No Cable, No Fun.”

I booked this hotel for a business trip on June 20, 2011 because it was close to my first meeting and I always stay in Marriott brand hotels. After I checked in (not before) I was told there was no internet or cable because "Comcast was down."

The hotel itself felt old and gross. I was pretty irritated that I was told, only after I asked what the internet code was, that there wasn't any cable or internet. I wouldn't stay there again. This hotel doesn't live up to the Marriott brand.

“Overall good stay, just expected more as a Marriott Rewards member.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 June 2011

I made our reservation for 2 nights in April for our stay in June. 2 months in advance and received a call the night before we arrived that they had overbooked. I was really looking forward to the whirlpool bath in the King Suite and pay more for that room type to have it. However, Mark, the Manager that assisted us, gave us 2 adjoining King rooms and free breakfast for both days. My son, who had his own room, and my husband, who really enjoyed the breakfast, made the whirlpool tub an afterthought. I appreciate the extra effort to accommodate us, I just would like to know how far in advance you must book to get the room you actually want. Staff is very friendly and helpful

“Less then expected”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 March 2011

The Hotel is a little off the beaten path but that,s OK because it is quiet.
Staff was welcoming, check in was quick, room was available. The lobby is nice typical courtyard and they have an indoor pool which several kids were playing in.
I got in late and had work to do, so I started right away. The desk area had plenty of outlets (this is a big plus) and well lit. Internet was free and very fast.
I didn't start to notice the stuff that bothered me till later. First was the cigarette burns in the headboard (just nasty), the comfort cover was tattered and torn, time to replace, and the worst was a series of nasty drip marks on the wall (see picture) by the AC unit.
Well morning came and I really needed coffee, but after looking at the in room coffee pot (where you put the water in) it was disgusting, no way I was going to use this. I walked downstairs and they had the free coffee out. I guess it was just my luck (could happen to me at home) but the first cup came out all coffee grounds.
I have to say that I would not pick this hotel again, just a poor overall experiance but I have stayed at worse.
