“2nd time staying at one of the Carlson company's Country Inn and Suites, both times very good experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 October 2011

We were driving without a reservation and it was about midnight. Tired and cranky, we stopped at the Country Inn and Suites Lithia Springs Ga. We checked this hotel out because we recently stayed at a Country Inn and Suites in Asheville NC and had a good experience. Check in was a breeze, went right to bed and slept well on the very comfortable king bed. Room was quiet even though it was next to the elevator. Breakfast the next morning was good and the coffee was quite good. Check out was a breeze. This chain seems to be a good one, consisitetnly reliable and fairly priced. Next time we go out of town, we will check Country Inn and Suites out again.

Thank you so much for taking the time to speak so pleasantly of your stay at the Country Inn & Suites. So often people use these review forums to speak of the occasional negative experiences. Not only did you highlight the positive but you mentioned some of our staff members by name. This means so much to employee and shows that their efforts are appreciated. Thank you again and please contact us at the hotel for your next visit so we can continue to show how much your business means to us.

“Nice hotel for an overnight stay on the road.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 July 2011

We stayed overnight on our way back to Birmingham. We arrived at 3 a.m. and our room had been canceled, but she reinstated it and sent us upstairs. We have a 1 bedroom that I used Carlson Club points to book. Breakfast was a huge disappointment. They were out of everything including forks. I had to go to the car to get some so my kids could eat their waffles.

We appreciate you taking the time to complete the review on TripAdvisor. I will say that I was not happy to hear of your experiences at the hotel and have shared your observations with everyone involved. We have used this as a training opportunity to “see things from the guest point of view”. As we continue to improve, please allow us another chance to have you as a guest.

“The worst hotel stay ever!”

The first night I checked in the desk clerk put me in 314 a non smoking room, the room smelled like someone just got finish smoking two packs of cigarettes. it is suppose to be a smoke-free hotel, so how does that happen? I told the desk clerk and he switched my room to a room 205, that smelled better. The next night the toilet in 205 would not stop running and I told the desk clerk named Dana and she was a rude one. She sent me and my family to a different room 420. I got in there and the tv was broken(I thought, you've got to be kidding me). So I sent my wife down to talk to Dana, the rude desk clerk. My wife said that she was ready to leave the hotel but only if she could be refunded for that day. Dana informed her that there was no way possible that we could be refunded. So my wife requested that we be moved again. Not once did she apologize for our inconvenience, even though we had to pack our things and move us and our two small children four times. This has got to be my worst hotel experience ever.

Momma0325 - Thank you for taking the time to discuss your stay at the Country Inn & Suites. I am happy that we were able to reinstate your reservations and get you to your room. I trust everything was as you hoped it was once you got there. I would love to discuss your concerns regarding the breakfast personally and would welcome your call. Rest assured that what you experienced is not the norm as we pride ourselves in providing a great breakfast experience to all our guests. On your next trip, to or from Birmingham, we look forward to the opportunity to seeing you again. - Chris

“Excellent Location - Superb Breakfast”

We recently stayed at this hotel on a recent trip to America. Initially we attempted to get a hotel in downtown, but decided to visit the Six Flags amusement park, and stay closer to the park. We're glad we did. This was our first time staying at a Country Inn & Suites, and we had an amazing experience. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious and clean and we thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast in the mornings. We're looking forward to our next trip to Atlanta and this will be our hotel of choice.
