Booked 2 rooms here for a last minute travel to the area over the July 4th weekend. I was reluctant to stay here since there were a few bad reviews on various travel websites, but did it anyway. I booked 1 double-room suite and 1 regular double-room (because that was all they had left) and reserved it online. When I showed up to check in the counter agent told me that the double bed room suite was NOT available, but "down for maintenance". I asked for the manager, but was told that the manager was not available for the weekend. That should have been my FIRST clue to problems to come. So, ok, I got the card keys to the room and went to check them out. Not sure if their housekeeping even checked these rooms but there were dead roaches in the fridge and a few in the bathroom. So again I said, ok, maybe this was one of those rooms that haven’t been checked out in some time and let it slide. Came back to the room later that evening (went to savannah to hang out), and tried to get some sleep. It was ok, the mattress are NOT the best, but it will do when you are tired.TV reception for cable was intermittent, which is strange for cable. The second night I stayed in the room, I awoke in the middle of the night to a roach crawling across the bed spread, a few on the table in the room and a few in the tub. It looked as if the roaches were renting the room instead of me. I submitted a complaint to choice, although I don’t expect them to do much. I decided from then on to LISTEN to these review and trust them from now on.

First of all, Lifestyles Maker’s review is inaccurate. My connection to the hotel is as a customer only, I do not work for any affiliation connected with the hotel or its owner(s). I have booked thousands of room nights at this hotel and stayed there myself many times. I have done inspections at the facility and the government has done inspections at the facility. No one has found any unsafe or unsanitary conditions in the rooms, nor in the lobby or lounge area nor in the on site restaurant. The hotel is old but is a very comfortable place to stay, not the Hilton but still very good. They are constantly making improvements since my involvement with the facility and there has been no issue unresolved by management except for “Lifestyles Maker” who posted the only other review for this facility. The staff has been friendly and helpful in all areas. The facility is primarily used for housing military personnel with the Army and Nation Guard. Lifestyles Maker has constantly tried to “bad mouth” the facility on any web site he can find yet refused to open the room door and talk to his housing contractor or hotel staff concerning his problem/complaint. His room phone goes unanswered and all attempts to contact him are ignored yet he continues to complain to anyone that will listen. Does anyone actually think the government would allow conditions like described in his review to exist for our military? I think not. The government has inspected the facility so many times even his commanding officer is ignoring him so he has turned to web sites to try to damage the facility because he did not get his way with his chain of command. This facility has gone way above the norm for our troops with grill outs, free pool table time and beverages in the lounge and anything else they can provide and is to be commended for their effort and expense in support of troops preparing for deployment. Please do not allow one tainted review to sway your opinion of this facility.

I stayed at this hotel from 14 Aug untill 3Oct 2008.
Hotel staff was friendly and helpfull. If there was a problem staff would fix it in a fast and timely manner.Housekeeping was there everyday to take care of my room. This hotel is a little on the old side but well maintained.I would stay there again and would recommend my friends and famley to stay.

Not enough words to express my displeasure and uncomfortable experience with this hotel. Here’s a quick list: Mold on walls quickly hidden by maintenance with a fresh coat of paint, many occupants complaining of bed bugs, housekeeping personnel will constantly bang on door and scream across the corridors, repair personnel will enter room without knocking. All in all, staff will attempt to enter room 3-7 times a day. If you are a business person you should NEVER say here. The internet access continuously has breaks in service for great durations of time. Do not to expect to receive a free continental breakfast, as they charge $5.00. This hotel was condemned a few months ago.
I will say they are attempting to make it a better place, but until they fix the problems, make it safe, and hire new management to control the staff I would recommend you do not stay here. They are trying to make this a nice hotel, but in the mean time customer service is horrible and the quality of stay is unsafe and not enjoyable. Also the “Knights Inn” next door is just as bad!
If you want to stay in Hinesville, pay just 5-20$ more a night at the comfort, Hampton, best, etc.
