“Do not stay here!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2010

My husband and I booked this hotel online for 4 days when we came to Fort Stewart. Upon arriving we immediately started looking for another pet-friendly hotel. The room was awful! Mold, bugs, cobwebs, a hole in the ceiling! My husband was having eye surgery and we were not about to risk his health in this room. So we checked out ~2 hours later after finding another hotel. They were to charge us for the night, which was fine with us. Instead they charged us the 4 nights we didn't stay plus an additional night! Instead of checking us out she checked us in again! We were still checked in 16 days later I found out after I called! The woman was so rude. They attempted to refund our money they claim and charged us an additional $400! So now they still owe us $674! I have never been so angry! Is this the way we treat our military?! DO NOT STAY HERE! And if you do risk catching diseases in this hotel, watch for overcharges!

“Wonderful and Pure Delight”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 May 2008

Never been to this hotel before. Looked online to find the features and decided to book since the fit my families needs. After a long road trip we finally got to the hotel we were greeted with a very heart warming front desk clerk and the friendly manager. The front desk clerk was very sweet during my check in.

My family and I went to the room I had reserved and it was wonderful, I could not find one flaw in that room. It was clean to perfection and had everything the internet stated. Not only was I impressed with the staff but the hotel overall.

I have always stayed at other more well known hotels but I took a chance with this one and could not have been more pleased with it. I would recommend anyone staying here at this hotel.

“horrible expierience”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 March 2008

I booked a room for my family and upgraded to a whirlpool suite. When we got to the hotel we realized that it was just a bathtub and so we left immediately to stay at the Fairfield Inn for $10 more. (the Fairfield had exactally what we were looking for and it was a beautiful room). Well what I thought shouldn't be a problem turned into a nightmare. I asked for a refund because we were there all of 5 minutes and I was treated very rudely. I said that they advertised a whirlpool suite not a room with a few jets in the bath tub. They said ok we'll mail your refund in a few weeks. I asked that they put it back on my card and they threatend to call the police! So I left. Someone called me from the hotel the next morning and left a message saying that the room charge has been posted back to my account. After getting back home I realize they did post it back to my account but only once.... they charged me twice (on the same day) for the hotel. So here I am a month later still no refund. I have had to fax them a bank statement and call repetedly and still nothing.

“This Hotel is a Health Hazard”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 March 2008

Contacted Barb at Quality Inn Customer service and gave the list of issues we had with our rooms, #113 and #205. I also filed comments and complaints on the website. The list was as follows, and I do have photographs of the issues.

Rooms smelled of animal urine.
Mold in the rooms on the ceilings and walls.
Water stains and mold around the light sockets.
Toilets did not flush properly.
Walls were patched and painted very haphazardly.
Stains on the sheets.
Cigarette burn in bedspread.
Ran out of food.
Flaking paint on the handrails-flaked off into splinters.
Sidewalk in disrepair.
Huge gap in the door in 205 which let cold air in, had to cover at night with a blanket.
Locks in disrepair, cracked.
Water did not drain from tub on the first night.

Advised the evening staff was very pleasant and tried to accomodate us, but there were no other rooms and the area hotels were booked solid for the week. We checked out Saturday morning and stayed at the Ramada Inn Saturday night instead.

“Dissapointment”

If you need a place to stay while visiting your loved ones at Fort Stewart, stay away from this one if at all possible.
I had booked two rooms, one for my husband and myself, and one for my elderly mother.
My room wasn't the non-smoking one I requested, but I could live with that. We just put our stuff in the room and then went to visit my daughter and son-in-law. When returning to the room at around 11:30 PM New Year's Eve, we just washed up and went to bed. In the morning I got up and started coffee, and walked my puppy. In the meantime my husband used the facilities, and he noticed the toilet had a problem. When I returned and he informed me of this, I checked it out and flushed once. Well, we had a flood. Upon calling the desk for help, the let me know that they could give me a new room, but it wouldn't be a smoking room-duh. But, I HAD TO GO GET THE KEY, because she knew that I would like to use the facilities.

Breakfast, stated as a full hot one, was. As long as the microwave worked. Variety, biscuits, a couple of danish, over boiled eggs, soggy unfrozen pancakes, sausage patties from who knows when, and cereal. This was at 8:00 AM.
We left and came back that evening to an uncleaned room, dirty towels. I called the desk again and was told that since I had a DOG in the room they didn't clean it, as not to get bit. Again, I HAD TO GET THE TOWELS. I guess I should have gotten cleaning supplies also, because no one came to clean.
After leaving and settleling up, I reviewed my credit card charges on line and noticed that I was charged for having the puppy, not only in my room for two nights, but in my Mother's room also. The mgr of the Quality Inn very nastily informed me that he was in there also, I can't figure out how he was able to be in two rooms at once, but then again, I'm not the hotel mgr., and that it was my fault that the toilet overflowed because I kept flushing it, and that there was nothing wrong with it, and they had to clean up the mess! Real professional.
Since Hinesville/Fort Stewart has a large selection of hotels, now, I would suggest anywhere but the QUALITY INN AT FORT STEWART.
