This was a nightmare. We have stayed at numerous other Quality Inns and they have been very nice so we didn't ask to see the room first. We booked it for 2 nights. The room wasn't very clean and the windows were filthy. They hadn't been washed for a very long time. The carpets were not clean around the edges of anything. We were tired and we didn't feel like packing everything back in the car so we stayed. There were only a few other contractors staying there the first night. The next night was the worst. After working 13 hours at the Base we were extremely tired and we had to be up really early in the a.m. to again work a long day. The room next to us was occupied this time and it was party central. At 10:00 p.m. we finally called the front desk to complain about the extreme noise coming from the next room. An hour later it was just as noisy and nothing had been done about it by the front desk. There were people in the parking lot and in front of our room yelling. After yet again another call to the front desk we were told that she had to wait until the person on the next shift came in. She then proceeded to tell us that there were only supposed to be 2 people in that room like we shouldn't be complaining about the noise that only 2 people could be making. Well there were about 30 to 40 people in that room. When the front desk personnel finally came down we went out to where they all were. We were then told that they were just celebrating the one girls birthday. Excuse me, then go down town and celebrate. Don't do it in a motel room where other customers are trying to sleep. It was like we were just supposed to deal with it. They finally, after alot of arguing, made everyone leave that room. It was now after midnite when we got back in our room. So much for a good nights sleep. The next morning after waking up just as tired as when we finally went to sleep, we checked out and were told they made an adjustment to our room. It was the $3.00 fee that they had charged for the safe that we didn't even use. OK, now I'm really po-ed. We called the manager later in the day and were told he was in a meeting and he would call back. No call back so we called again. He was not very pleasant. He tried to tell us that we had been offered a different room. NO we hadn't and why should we have had to pack everything up at midnight and move to another room even if they had offered. Great customer satisfaction buddy. He then stated he would have to talk to the staff and see what they had to say. Again no call back that day. The next day we finally received a phone call from the girl that was at the desk that night stating that there would be a minimal adjustment to our bill charge. They should have not charged us for that night at all. Due to our work, we have stayed in a motel/hotel for about 5 weeks all over the south and southwest and this was the worst motel we stayed in out of all of them. This motel is nasty and should be inspected.
