My husband and I stayed for two nights at the Country Inn, in Helen Ga. For our purposes it met our needs. Our room (215) was very convenient to the stairs that take you down to the main lobby, but with that being said we did hear a lot of foot traffic. Our room could have used a little TLC (fresh paint, carpet clean, mildew around the a/c unit cleaned). Overall, it was clean, just needed a little attention to detail. Our purpose in visiting Helen was not to stay in the room all day, again, the room sufficed for our needs.
The complimentary hot breakfast was good and the staff was helpful. It's a short walk -2 blocks to the "downtown" area. And we were able to venture to nearby areas such as Anna Ruby Falls, the Cabbage Patch factory and Sautee.

I am so glad you and your husband stayed with us. I do want to let you know we are in the process of refreshing up the rooms. Room 215 is very close to the lobby, which means it is close to the coffee and cookies. With all there is to do in Helen, most people truly don't spend a lot of time in their rooms. I do have to admit that our complimentary hot breakfast is good and our staff is very helpful. You are very correct, we are a short walk to the "downtown" area. I am pleased you were able to get out and see Anna Ruby Falls, the Cabbage Patch factory and Sautee. I look forward to your next trip to Helen.
