Country Hearth Inn and Suites-McDonough, Ga.-- HORRIBLE, Dirty, Non-Working Smoke Detector, PLUGGED PLUMBING, No Coffeemakers OR Hair dryers OR Refrigerator OR Microwave in room, No Newspapers, NO INNCREDIBLE Breakfast-Just packaged rolls, TV reception fuzzy, RUDE Management, Rooms Smelled like SMOKE even though it was a NON-SMOKING room, NOT WORTH MONEY

We made a reservation by phone and gave our credit card number to hold our room. When we arrived we were not at all impressed with the place. Then we saw the front desk clerk and another person were sitting on the front in rocking chairs and smoking with the hotel doors left wide open. Our first thought was..........oh no....is there no air conditioning?? But we went on into the lobby and yes there was air conditioning but the smell of the cigarette smoke had followed inside when the clerk quit smoking and followed us inside. She then told us she couldn't find our reservation, but that it was okay because there were vacancies. We said that's okay, don't bother, and we left and went to another hotel. Now my credit card bill has arrived with one night's stay charged on my bill (even though they couldn't find my reservation)! I called the hotel and I'm told that she can't do anything about it, only the owner can........and the owner is out of town but should call me back in about 3 days when back in town. It you need to stay in this area, a better bet is Holiday Inn Express in Griffin.

My husband booked this Inn because it was the only thing we could find available for the weekend we needed to be in town. Everything was booked because of a festival. My husband requested one of their non smoking suites. When we first walked in the room it was apparent there had been plenty of smoking going on in this room. There was a burn hole in the arm of the recliner, enough burn holes on the toliet seat that I had to really look
to make sure the toliet was clean because of all the yellow marks. The recliner was red
but the arms and headrest were black from filth. When you pull the bedspread down the sheets looked clean and I hope they were but they were cheap and rough. The pillows were flat and smelled. You would never know you were sleeping on a mattress it felt more like the box spring. Your not going to believe this but we did't walk out of the room at first sight. Very big mistake. It was the most alfull night I have ever spent in a hotel room. I wish we had slept in the car. Don't stay here even as a last resort thats probably the only way they get business.
