Comfort Suites at Forsyth excels at customer appreciation and staff friendliness. Everyone we encountered from front desk to breakfast to cleaning were very cheerful.
Our king room was attractive, spacious, and clean. The only disappointment was the fact that all king rooms face the highway. The front desk clerk offered to switch us to a 2 queen room at check in, but we elected to keep the king room and slept fine with the air conditioner running. The hotel is only 3 years old, and the heating/cooling unit operates very quietly. The room was the usual king room for the newer Comfort Suites with plenty of space and lots of lighting. A sleeper sofa, coffee table, desk, task chair, upholstered chair, full-length mirror, flat panel TV, microwave, and refrigerator all contributed to a comfortable stay. The bed was Very comfortable. The bath was neat and mostly clean, but in evening lights, I could see that the shower walls had not been wiped clean. The only things I would recommend is a change in cleaning products to one with a more pleasant scent and an adjustment to the TV which cut off the tops of heads and the sporting event scores and data.
The hotel has a small room for guests' PC use; however, the 1 PC had no internet connection on the night of our stay. The front desk person worked diligently to get the problem addressed, but after 2 trips down, I gave up.
The fitness room is fine for 1 - 3 guests at a time -- lots of equipment in a small space. A large flat panel TV works well. All of the equipment was fine except for the treadmill which needs to be fixed. Also, the clock on the wall did not work.
Breakfast was more than expected with eggs, sausage, gravy, breads and pastries, waffles, cold cereals, instant oatmeal and grits, yogurt, fresh fruit, coffee, and juice. The size of the eating area allowed for the dining comfort of many guests.
This was a comfortable and convenient place to stop while on the road, and we would certainly recommend it. I thought about rating this hotel a 4 (and maybe it is compared to other Forsyth hotels).
Room Tip: Light sleepers should not request a king room.
