“OK for overnight stay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 October 2011

person found this review helpful

This is former Holiday Inn Property, Dining Room, closed, Bar, closed, Room was
neat and clean, looked remodeled, but the door still showed signs of decades of use.
All in all, was decent, reasonable place to stop and rest overnight. Breakfast consisted
of Coffee, donuts, tea, donuts, milk and donuts, or even juice (and donuts).

“OK for price, just for one night”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 April 2011

THe price was right but the service was not. Upon checking in the gentleman at the desk let me stand there for 10 minutes while he was on the phone with a customer. I understand he was helping someone on the phone but he didn't even make eye contact with me or indicate "just a second" to let me know he would help me soon. He just let me stand there listening to his conversation! How annoying! When we finally checked in he didn't apologize for the wait or say anything.
The restaurant is just a smoke filled bar so we had to eat across the street at Waffle House, which was well....a Waffle House.
Free breakfast in AM was alright. Sausage and biscuits my husband and kids liked, there was also cereal, milk, pastries, yogurt.
We were just staying en route to Florida, so it was ok for one night, but I would not go stay here for more than that. The little town of Forsyth looked quite nice, went for an early jog the next day into town.....

“Small problem was fixed”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 March 2011

Upon check in requested a non smoking room. after getting key went to my room and was knocked down by the smell of smoke. An employee was cleaning a room was next door and she also smelled the smoke and moved me to another room that was non smoking. She even went to the front desk and exchange my keys for me. Hotel is older but the room was clean and the beds were nice. New 32in flat screens new fridge and microwave. a four day stay was nice and quiet and without further incident.

“Dirty, Old & Creepy”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 March 2011

Older property with outside entry doors to the rooms. I never feel as safe with exterior access. Looked like this motel had been remodeled at some point, but it needs to be again. The lobby was dingy, poorly lighted, smelled bad and the carpet was dirty. The parking lots were very poorly lite and had an unsafe creepy quality when going from the car to the room. The dining room was dark, dirty and unkept. The continential breakfast was one of the worst I have ever seen. The coffee was terrible. The showerhead and the tub were dirty. The price was pretty good, the room was a nice size, the bed linens were clean and the night clerk was friendly and helpful, but I would never stay here again.

“Pleasantly surprised”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 August 2010

I was apprehensive about the cleanliness and condition of the hotel after reading some negative reviews, but felt I had no choice but to stay there because we pre-paid.

I am happy to say we found our room clean and comfortable. It was perfectly adequate. A nice touch were the pillows of varying firmness. So often hotel pillows are soft and mushy, but there were 3 pillows on the bed and each one was a different firmness, It was very nice,

I would stay here again.
