“Great place with excellent service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 May 2011

We stayed here with several other families for my daughter's soccer tournament. The rooms were clean and quiet with a large refrigerator. Breakfast was well stocked and nicely laid out. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We ordered pizza for the girls one evening and I bought a case of waters which could not fit in the large room fridge. The front desk person made room in the back kitchen for them and brought them out nice and cold for us. The pool is small and we sort of took it over, so other guests were probably a bit surprised but it was a great retreat from the heat after being out on the fields all afternoon. Cute landscaping and exterior decor, I almost passed it when I was first looking for it. We had a great time and I would recommend this hotel for future visitors. Simple but clean and inexpensive.

“How about spending some money and update the place . . . .”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 April 2011

We were surprised when we arrived at the Holiday Inn Express in Fayetteville because it does not look anything like hotel shown at the website. This hotel was pictured as being very new and modern. It had a little charm but it lost that charm when we went into our room. It looked like it hadn't been updated in years. The TV was the picture tube style that we were unable to watch because the picture was so bad. The wallpaper in the bathroom was peeling off and the toilet seat was barely attached. The breakfast was good and the people working there were polite. When I asked about the ancient TV's I was told that new ones "were on order". But I am not sure if that is true or not and I will not go back to find out. The swimming pool was a dark green.

I loved the place it has a colonial look and comfortable bed. roomy room. I thought that they should have had a change of fruit instead of bananas. I enjoyed my 9 day stay. They were painting rooms while I was there. No complaints. Manager even gave me cookies and 2 bottles of water to travel with.

“Time to invest or get out”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 May 2010

We stayed here for the Fayette Fine Art Show that happened across the street on the Old Courthouse Lawn. From the outside, the building looks like a comfortable, southern style residence. While the lobby was nicely air-conditioned, the owners did not air-condition the hallways in the upper half of the building. Some of the areas - especially in front of the elevator had a weird odor in the air. The mattress was good and we had a good night rest. The king size bed room with the sofa bed had a refrigerator with an old style broken TV. The picture was yellow/green and even after reporting it, it was not taken care off. The breakfast area was way to small and the layout did not help either. Warm Breakfast itself was nice with eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy. So for doing business across the street, it was a good hotel. Without the convenience of the location, I would have stayed elsewhere. And for being freshly renovated, they missed some key areas...

“Impressed to say the least....”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 July 2009

I have not written a review in a while but felt compelled to write a review for this particular location/hotel as there were so few written when I was deciding if I wanted to stay here or not. I stayed here for two nights in mid July of this year. The hotel has been renovated at least from the pictures that are available even on its on website. The rooms were very spacious and clean (and I am picky as I have a 5 month old and look for clean venues since my son is so young and beginning the crawling stage). The beds are superb and the hotel uses the Holiday Inn Signature bedding with fresh clean linens (no old bed spreads). I love the look of clean white linens and the fresh clean look they offer. The shower head was great (Kohler) and the hotel staff was very friendly from the front desk clerk (s) who assisted us late in the evening when we needed to get a baby crib and fresh linens to the staff serving the hot breakfast each morning. The breakfast included the Holiday Inn Signature cinnamon buns (which were awesome), scrambled eggs, biscuits, a meat item (sausage or bacon), toaster waffles, and an array of cold items like cereals, boiled eggs, bagels, yogurts, plus coffee, juices, milks, etc. served from 6:30 am I think until 10 am.

When I booked I had some reservations and was holding my breath based on such old reviews but as I said I was really impressed with the service and quality for the money. We did visit the pool for a couple of hours. It is small and not elaborate but fit our needs. We used the hotel business computer (not elaborate but definitely fit our needs) to surf internet and check email and print a few documents. They also offer free in room high speed internet, which we did use with our laptop quite a bit in our room. It was quick. Our room was on an inside corridor. They do have rooms that are on the outside corridors as well. Not sure if they are of same quality or not. I would definitely stay here again.
