The company I work for is right down the road, so I have had the pleasure of staying at this property many times over the past several years. While many hotels start to feel "tired" or worn over time, the HGI has been maintained in a way that makes it still feel new. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped. I particularly like the refrigerator in the room, great to store water and soda that I've purchased at the Kroger just down Satellite Blvd. There is also a microwave in the room, as well as coffee maker. I am disgusted by hotels that keep the coffee maker in the bathroom. HGI keeps it out in the main room with the fridge and microwave.
The staff is always friendly, accommodating, and attentive. Fresh cookies are on the front desk in the late afternoon, and there are 3 restaurants within a quick walk-- Chick-fil-A, Arena Tavern, and Carrabba's. There is also a Chinese Restaurant that will deliver.
If you are traveling for business or pleasure this hotel would be an excellent choice. Close to Discover Mills outlet center, Gwinnett Center concerts, etc.
