We looked up hotels before traveling with our 2 cats for a pet friendly hotel. My husband found this one in Dalton which was the distance we wanted to travel from Florida. When we got to our room we unpacked the cats and my husband went into the bathroom where he killed a roach. Hoping it was a fluke he did not say anything and I started to feed the cats. He looked across the room and there was another roach climbing up the wall. We killed it and started to pack to leave. On the way out of the room he killed another roach and this was all during daylight. Just think what it would have been like after the lights went out! Needless to say we did not stay.

This is an old hotel but the beds are great and we slept well in the cool working AC. Old bath, but clean and updated with granite vanity outside of potty/shower room. Free coffee and cereal-nothing fancy, no fruit, but they did have instant oatmeal. It works for just a comfy place to sleep and take a shower. Only 8K Best Western points! Was nice to pull up at the door and unload the luggage. There was a bar by entrance that was packed but no noise in our room whatsoever.

Coming down the interstate and we looked this one up on our Garmin. Normally, stay at the Best Western chains because the majority are now renovated and much inproved over the old chain. This one's close to the interstate, so you might find the noice a little more than you like, but the price was right. Very affordable. One things for sure, we found out... there is still smoking in a lot of the places you might want to sit down and get a bite in. Really turns my wife and I off. I guess we're used to the state we live in where there's no-smoking in any public places. Other than that, on a scale of 1-10 being an older or aged faculity and 1 being old, I'd give it a 6 for a rating. The pool was outdoors, but obviously did not use in Feb. Beds were very comfortable, though. The staff was very friendly, as well.

Our non smoking room was strong smelling of smoke. Piece of carpet missing at bathroom door and nail tack strip was exposed with nails sticking up. Worst of all there were used
tissues at bottom of bed under blanket which means that the sheets were not changed.
