I am a long-time B&B visitor, having stayed in more than 100 across the country. And this is truly one of my favorite locations. The log-cabin style home sits on the top of the mountain, up a perilous driveway, with extraordinary views. The house was built by the owners as a B&B, and the owners house is next door. For this reason it has all the best features of a hotel and a bed & breakfast. The rooms are spacious, with roomy private baths, flat screen TVs, wi-fi, and wood-burning fireplaces. The main floor provides a comfortable sitting room with its own wood-burning fireplace, a dining area where breakfast is served and a kitchen that is open for use by guests, if you need to store some leftovers in the refrigerator or use the microwave. Each afternoon they put out snacks, and tea and cocoa is available at all times. One thing we noticed was the attention to detail. They truly thought of everything! Our room, The Quinn, had its own private entrance off a small deck, which led directly to our car. The B&B seems like it's in the middle of nowhere, but it's really just about 7 miles from quaint adorable downtown Dahlonega. And the Monteluce Vineyard, Amicalola Falls, and Funky Chicken Art Project are all within a 30-min. drive. For you foodies and winos, this is a fantastic location for both! Colleen, the owners' daughter, provided us with a delicious breakfast each morning to get our day started. We will definitely stay here any time we go to the Smokies!
