My fiance and I attended the "Wedding Extravaganza" day at Forrest Hills and thought we'd found a lovely place to have our wedding. Later I called back and was informed that this business does not welcome same-sex weddings.
My fiance and I will not be spending thousands of dollars at a facility that does not welcome some of our family and guests as much as they appeared to welcome us (and our prospective business).

We just got back from spending a night in a rustic cabin at Forresthills resort. The little cabins are charming with the hot tub in the room, queen bed and little porch! There is a TV, DVD for times that you just want to relax in the living room and watch some movies! We had dinner which was in the "Secret Garden" cafe and breakfast this morning too. All was great! There is a microwave and a small refridgerator in the room and lots of towels. Firewood is $5 per bundle! Bring your cocktails, beer and some snacks since there is not a store close by and they have free DVD's to watch. Simple, but romantic and we always enjoy it up it the mountains! There are alot of restaurants in the square of Dahlongega if you want to go into town to see a band or have other meals! We would recommend this to others! Couples definately, but looked like a great place for a family trip too in the summer!

I actually got married and had my honeymoon at Forrest Hills. They thought of everything!! The cabins, food, and service was Great. I definitely plan on going back for my 10 year anniversary.

Our family went to Forrest Hills Resort for Thanksgiving this year. We spent 3 nights there, ate their delicious Thanksgiving meal as well as other meals, took their wagon ride for an evening cook-out in the back woods of N. Georgia, checked out (free) DVDs to watch in our rooms, and generally had a great time. This place is wonderful for families who want some time away from the bustle of normal days. The price is right. The accommodations are very nice TVs, fireplace, jacuzzi tub, steam shower, balconies). The food is delicious. There is horseback riding, swimming (in season), ball courts, and trails to hike. It is located near a state park and within short driving distance of many other interesting things to see and do.
