“Nice physical property, lousy rooms---Zero "star" rating”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 September 2011

I attended a wedding weekend at this location and was very disappointed in the accomandations. The overall property and area was scenic. I stayed in the "wing" of the house, not a cabin.
My "king size" bed seemed quite short with my feet hanging off the end of the bed while my head pressed to the head-board, and I am only 6' tall. The "king bed" was actually two non-matching mattresses, which caused a large seam in the middle, pushed together. Very uncomfortable. As this was billed as a "Spa Resort" we all paid premimum prices and there did not seem to be any "Spa" services available. However this was a pre-arranged price, which had all rooms and cabins charged the same rate.

The room I had also had "paper-thin" walls with no privacy and seemed to have plumbing issues.

I also visited in a cabin and the two beds there had approximately 1" bolts loose from the walls and extending onto the bed. Safety hazard.

The Sunday brunch was delicious. However the remainder of the food services were not available. Not even a drink machine or ice machine available. Not to mention, no TV or phones or radios. WiFi was available, probably the most favorable part of the stay. Disappointing.

The front porch was nice to sit in the morings for coffee, but was the only time coffee available. Not even an in-room coffee maker or mini fridge.

Based on my recent stay, I would not recommend this property unless you only need an uncomfortable bed to lie in at the end of the night.

Room Tip: Cabin if you want coffee

“Perfect Setting for a relaxing Wedding Weekend”

I recently had my wedding in the Dahlonega area and my family rented out the entire resort. The staff at the spa went above and beyond to make sure my (the bride) experience was special. All of the rooms, cabins, and cottages were spacious and nice, with spectacular views of the mountains. The spa is close to ALL the wineries as well as to downtown Dahlonega.

The only critique I have is while planning our trip, the staff was slow to get back to us. I would recommend this resort to anyone. You will not be disappointed if you stay here.

“Awesome Wedding Weekend”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 September 2011

We attended the wedding of our niece and rented out the entire hotel for this event. All the rooms were nice and especially the cottage suite where we stayed. It was a great location and having the place for all the family to meet each other was very nice. Rocked in the chairs on the front porch, hung out in the jacuzzi and played corn hole on the lawn! It was a great weekend in the GA mountains for a wedding. Crystal & Sandy were great to work with and Kyle we kept busy all weekend! The brunch served on Sunday with the fresh made omlets and wonderful french toast was very good. You will not be disappointed with this hotel.

Room Tip: If you are a large family or a few couples take the 4 bedroom cottage. It is a wonderful way to be...

“Quiet, Clean, Relaxing”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 July 2011

We loved our stay at the Dahlonega Spa Resort! The rooms were spotlessly clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and the views from the front porch are breathtaking. In addition, the resort is within one mile of four really good wineries and is about six miles out of downtown Dahlonega. If you are there during a time that weather permits, be sure to have breakfast on the front porch!

“A Relaxing, Welcoming & Peaceful Spot”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 June 2011

My sister and I had a very pleasant stay here and found it quite relaxing. Tthe food was simple and delicious, the room clean and unadorned but restive. We took a yoga class and admired the gorgeous view from the fantastic front proch. We would definitely return!
