friendly front desk was cheerful as well as helpful wth dirrections. always a smile there. we skipped thte continietial breakfast but it looked okay. the room had small refrigerator adn a microwave which was handy. wireless internet and free hbo. pool didn't look like much, but the property was clean and well maintained. beds were comfortable and lighting was plentiful and well placed. i liked the size of this small hotel as much as the easy i-20 access. i would not hesitate to stay here again.

Although the desk clerk was friendly, our room had the following problems:
Apparently the housekeeping staff never vacuums close to the walls or furniture. Dirt and dust were quite obvious in areas other than the easily vacuumed parts of the floor.
The deadbolt was non-functional.
The door-lock screw was loose and coming out of the wall.
Only decaf coffee was left in the room
The bathroom faucet dripped.
Small bugs were crawling around in the bathtub.
The desk chair was dirty.

It's unfortunate that such problems exist, since all are easy to take care of. However, if we ever return to Covington we will stay at the Holiday Inn Express, which is currently under construction.
