My stay at the LaQuinta in Conyers was a wonderful experience from the time I spoke with the desk clerk, AL Havin before I arrived in Coyers. Al knew exately where I had planned to go once I arrived in Conyers and was able to give me clear directions. You would be surprised how many clerks who don't know the hotel exit or how to direct you to Walmart from their property. For one who travels often this is an advantage!!
Gwen was at the front desk upon my arrival with a lovely smile, and seemingly ready to meet my every need. It's wonderful being made to feel you're the only guest knowing the property must be running a full house, at least, according to the parking lot. lol, lol!! She still displayed that lovely smile early the next morning. I have actually seen night auditors asleep at the desk when I walked into the lobby for am coffee. Keep up the good work Gwen!!!!
Lorraine Smith handles the breakfast room giving service second to none. Boy does she serve up a great waffle too. When she's not serving her guest she's constantly walking around with cloth and spray bottle in hand cleaning every crumb from the tables and assuring the floors are kept clean and sanitary.
Having been a previous business owner I happen to notice what makes a business successful, and believe me, it starts with the person answering the phone. When everything else is evaluated as excellent ......... this business will excell.
The decor must have been done by Candice Olson on HGTV. As I expressed to Lorraine, there's decor in the breakfast and lobby area that I must have for my home.
In my room the carpet was an abstract with matching wooden vallances, drapes, and matching sheers. The down that covered seemingly a memory foam mattress not only made a great fashion statement, but was wonderful in taste and comfort.
The cabinet housing the coffee pot and fridge was a perfect match for double doors entering the bathroom. The bathroom tile floor would have completed it's decor until I noticed the soap wrapper and shampoo bottles matched the shower curtain. I found this to be most impressive. Who is your decorator????
For the business person needing a large nice desk. I couldn't believe the desk size or that it would handle two chairs. Forgive me, but I've stayed in every known chain, and do have bragging rights on the LaQuinta in Conyers, GA. Let me assure you from experience...... this property doesn't compare to any LaQuinta property I've ever visited. It far excells.
If you visit this property please expected to be treated with royality from the time you enter the front door. The property is well maintained and clean inside and out. I don't like the carpet dirty in my car, so yes, I notice the oil spots, and trash in the parking lot. If it's excessive, I will keep driving.......even if it means I've lost a nights lodging cost.
And folks, if I were getting paid for my reviews, I don't think you could afford me, lol,lol....or could you???? This is a lovely property worthy of a mystery visit anytime.
Keep up the good work, and I'll be delighted when I visit your property again!!!
Good memories aren't always made so fast!!

Room Tip: My standard nonsmoking king room was almost as large as a suite.
