Stayed at this property early December when visiting Ft Benning for my cousin's graduation from basic training. This hotel is EASY to get to from the Columbus Airport. Our flight got in at 10a, although they couldn't get us in our rooms (4total) that early, they did get us in our rooms well before the 3p check in time. Lobby was nice and spacious. Front desk staff was very accomidating and helpful. Everyone staff member that I passed said "hello" and "have a great day". I had a king room. The room was nice, looked recently updated, and clean. I was connected to another family member's double room which was just as nice. We had celebratory cocktails one night at the bar at Hollihans, which was nice that there was a "bar" so close by. That being said, this is the first Hilton property that I have been to where there wasn't some sort of complimentary breakfast...we figured it was because of the restaurant in the hotel, which did offer breakfast. The room service prices were resonable. Guess you could always have a world famous DoubleTree cookie for breakfast!!!! Still utterly disappointed that I never did get a cookie...not because it wasn't offered. I left the one I got at check-in in a family member's room...and they ate it. Then I just never got another one...totally my fault!!!! We got the millitary discount, so our rooms were $86 or so...which was a STEAL!!!! If you're visiting Ft Benning, or Columbus Ga for that matter...book a room at this property, you won't be disappointed!!!!! We are a Hilton Diamond Member Family, so we ALWAYS stay a Hilton Properties and the customer service at DoubleTree Columbus definatly OUTSHINED any other hotel I have every stayed at....GOOD JOB DoubleTree Columbus!!!! If I ever find myself back in Columbus, I will be staying with you!!!!
