“A comfortable place to stay with multiple couples or family members”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 October 2011

From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and comfortable in this friendly hotel. The staff could not have been more accommodating yet unobtrusive. It actually felt as though we were in our own home within a hotel. The rooms were bright and clean with everything we needed for a pleasant vacation. Free continental breakfast each day had something for everyone: fresh hot oatmeal, waffles, fruit, coffee, juices...There is plenty of space within the room as well as in the lobby/ sitting area for visiting with local family or guests. This was the most pleasant place that we stayed throughout a long driving trip.

Room Tip: We were on the second floor and found it to be very quiet.

“OCS Family travel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 October 2011

I made three trips to visit my son processing through OCS for a total of 17 days. The Manager and the staff assisted my family above and beyond what was required.
They assisted my father with handicap shower and seat.
They provided a US flag so that we could hold a private family administration of Oath of Office.
They were so friendly and it made our stay away from home a delight.
I would look forward to staying with them again.

“Wouldn't stay anywhere else! Love this place!”

I travel to Columbus, at minimum, 3 times per week. I am so happy to have discovered this hotel. The management and staff could not be more helpful and friendly. Mike, the GM, has me and my dog on a first name basis. The staff knows my preferences and does everything to satisfy their guests. They have offered to walk my dog and pick up my groceries. The property is clean and has everything I need (and more) during my stay. A few nights a week there is a happy hour and a cookout/dinner that is provided. I hadn't tried the breakfast until recently, and it is WONDERFUL. They are constantly changing the breakfast menu so that there is always variety. Now I look forward to breakfast each morning. The location is nice-it is surrounded by great shopping and dining facilities. I usually eat at the Jason's Deli off of Whittlesey Blvd- it's quick and tasty, and they'll even deliver.

I could go on and on about how wonderful this hotel is. Needless to say, I am so grateful that there are still places that genuinely care about their customers.

Room Tip: There are studios and rooms with a separate bedroom. Both are great. Studios have one television and...

“Almost perfect”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 August 2011

(We actually stayed for 8 nights in August 2010, but the date selector only goes back to September 2010.)

My favorite part of our stay at this hotel was the genuine, warm welcome we received from Britney upon checking in. We drove from St. Louis, MO to Columbus, GA that day (~700 miles) and Britney's bubbly reception was very refreshing. She gave us a welcome gift, and also invited us each to help ourselves to a free snack from the little store in the lobby. She reviewed (and improved) the rate I had booked in advance online. They were very accommodating with our special late checkout request, too.

The room met our expectations and special requests perfectly. We travel with pets and like to be on the ground floor near an exit. Everything was fresh and clean and in working order. The hotel is conveniently located to dozens of restaurant and shopping options. Plus it had good access for our daily trip to Callaway Gardens for a retreat.

The only thing preventing me from giving 5 stars is the odd "bacon rationing" at breakfast. Most mornings our schedule prevented us from eating the hotel's breakfast (we had to leave too early). But the one morning when we were able to have breakfast at the hotel, the dining room was overflowing with guests.

A large family with several teenage girls piled their plates high with bacon...taking every last slice! I requested some from the breakfast attendant and she said it would be 20-30 minutes. When she finally brought out more bacon, we nearly missed out again! The attendant reluctantly gave my spouse and me 2 slices each, after giving more to the voracious teenagers and their parents and grandparents.

“Nice Place to Stay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 August 2011

I stayed here three nights last week. My room was clean and spacious. I saw a little wear and tear, but nothing to cause concern. There was plenty of parking and it appears there were a lot of guests staying at the hotel based on the number of cars in the parking lot. I'm picky, so the receptions on the nights I was there didn't have anything appealing to me so I hopped right on over to TGIFs. The breakfast was blah, yucky looking sausage patties and potato pancakes everyday. I settled for a bowl of oatmeal (not very good) for two days then on my last day I drove across the street to the Waffle House. Finally got full at breakfast :) The location of the hotel can't be beat. It's by everything (WalMart, Cheddars, TGIFs, Chili's, Sams Club, Buffalo Wild Wings, and much, much more).
