“Hyatt Place Hotel has great friendly staff.”

Staff at the Hyatt Place was very friendly and helpful. I had to take my daughter to the emergency room in the middle of the night and the lady at front desk was very concerned and helpful. The trip was not the best to remember but hotel stay was good.

“Cookie cutter hotel, clone of other Hyatt Place locations”

Hyatt Place offers a consistent product and stay experience. This location is next to several sit down chain restaurants, pharmacies and highway access. Exterior noise is very limited from traffic and people. For some reason, the air conditioning unit was very loud on the 5th floor and vibrated excessively. I could hear the unit through my door/wall. The room was clean and I appreciate the numerous outlets and desk space. Other than the noise from the air conditioning unit, the stay was pleasant.

Free, self serve breakfast buffet includes fresh fruit, cereal, juices, milk, toast, gravy/bisquits, and more. Additional breakfast items are available at low cost.

Service is consistently friendly at Hyatt Place.

It was too cold to try the pool, not sure if it was even open.

This Hyatt Place is not located in "downtown" Columbus.

Room Tip: stay off 5th floor due to loud air conditioning unit

“"Hyatt Place in Columbus, GA is #1 in Hyatt for a good reason."”

Those were my last words to the front desk person when checking out. This was my best experience staying at a limited service property, ever. From the state of the art sleeping room design where they really have literally thought of everything, to the "grab and go" food service bar and cook-to-order breakfast. I rate this hotel 99.5 on a scale of 100 for what it tries to be and this hotel tries to be a great place to stay. We have stayed here three times for a mix of business and pleasure and I am really impressed with how carefully thought out everything is. This product appeals to tech savvy 19 year olds and demanding 50 somethings who have stayed in and/or visited thousands of hotels (it's part of what I do for a living). Suffice to say that you cannot go wrong here. On the rare occasion that you find something that's not yet right, it will be fixed quickly and cheerfully without question. Why go to Columbus, GA? For one, Columbus has a great theater downtown, just 7 miles away, home to a great symphony orchestra and it is a straight shot down Veteran's Avenue from the Hyatt Place (with the traffic lights timed pretty well if you stay at the speed limit). Lots of well known restaurant's in the immediate area and military history buffs will want to visit the Infantry Museum that is located right at the gates to Ft. Benning. It's a $10 million brick building on your right hand side as you drive up to the Security gate, you can't miss it. It also has a great website. I shall return.

Room Tip: Rooms away from the highway are more quiet, but rooms have excellent temperature control system and...

“So grateful fot the Hyatt!”

We were in Columbus for the birth of our first grandchild and obviously the trip had to be last minute as we had no real idea ahead of time to be able to make reservations anywhere.
After being at the hospital for 18 hours straight ( and awake for over 34 hours) we desperately needed a hotel that had a room for us, and that would allow us to check in early so we could get some rest.

After calling 8 other places, and being told we'd have to wait until check -in time (late afternoon) to get in a room, I called the Hyatt and Jalayne at the front desk. She was very helpful and very understanding and told us she would get a room ready for us as soon as possible.

When we got to the hotel, she not only had our room ready, but sped us through the check-in process so we could get some sleep before having to be back at the hospital with our daughter. The rate was much less than the other hotels were going to give us and the customer service was over the top!! She'll never know how much we loved her at that moment!

The room was huge and very clean. Even if it hadn't been, the Hyatt has become the only hotel we'll ever use when we come to Columbus to see our daughter and her soldier husband. But it's nice to know that we'll be enjoying the experience because of the cleanliness and luxury of the room at such a great price!

Thank you again Jalayne (hope I spelling her name right)!

It ain't cheap but the rooms are nice, spacious, have fairly spacious living area, nicely decorated, clean, excellent service, free wifi. Good quality workout room but only cardio, no weights. Pool rather small but nice. Free breakfast pedestrian, no hot food. Well kept, neat, and nice to be in. Safe feeling. Minifridge in each room. Beds very comfortable
