This hotel is now Brunswick Park Hotel. We made a reservation en route using Kayak.com and put the address in the GPS. We thought we had made a mistake until I spoke with the front desk clerk. She said that it was no longer a Hampton as of about three weeks ago. The problem was that to remain a Hampton they had to remodel including having no rooms opening directly to the outside, etc., and decided not to do so. We are at the hotel so I yet comment on the breakfast, etc., but it does not come up to what we have expected from Hampton in other areas. The room is clean, the beds are double, not queen, and the pool is outside. There are three floors. The first floor is for those with pet, the second floor is non- smoking and the third floor is for smokers. The biggest frustration is kayak.com selling the room under the wrong name.

We stayed at the Brunswick, GA Hampton Inn on our roadtrip to Florida.

The staff during the evening and morning shifts were great; everyone made us feel welcome, they made sure that there was a discount for us (military), promptly got a pack-n-play up to the room for the baby, and gave my oldest an extra special treat at breakfast.

The lobby is what we have come to expect from most Hamtpon Inns - a little more upscale looking without being pretentious. Unfortunately, the rest of the place needs an overhaul. The rooms are small and a little claustrophobic. The bathrooms are old looking; the shower stalls, cabinets, and countertops could all use a make over.

On a postive note (besides the staff) - it is far enough off of I-95 that you do not hear the highway and there is a Starbucks coffee within walking distance.

We had stayed here before and it is always good to go back and see if it as good as it was before. It Was! The rooms have been updated from the standard old drive up motel type room, small bathroom but very clean and very comfortable beds...etc. They have refrig/microwave in the room which is great. The people that work there are all so nice. Breakfast is the standard waffle, cereal, toast, banana but they also had some kind of hot egg thing (did not try) but it was clean and open until 10:00 AM...AND they take pets and do not charge YEAH.

I'm so disappointed, I've stay at alot of hamptons,but this one was the pits. Cleanliness,updates and the overall customer service was awful. I can asure you that we will never stay here again. Left the next day and stay in another hotel, which I might add deserves a 5 star rating for the same price!
