First, let me start off and say the room we had was spacious and very clean. We did hear a slight bit of noise from the room above us, but nothing too bad. The price was also very reasonable.
I made our reservation clearly stating that I had a handicap and cannot walk any stairs, so, I must have a room on the first floor. When we checked in we were told our room was on the second floor and there were no rooms on the first floor. The girl at the desk checked our reservation and admitted it clearly stated that I needed a room on the first floor. She said she was sorry. We then asked her what she proposed to do about their error. She then said there was a handicaped room on the first floor she could give us, but, that room did not allow pets. We had our small dog with us. I then gave her a very stern stare and she said we could take the room and that she was not going to deal with the problem if a dog was allowed in the room or not.
The next morning on check out, I noticed they added a charge of $1.50 to my bill for a room safe. First of all, when we checked in, it was never mentioned there was a charge for a room safe, let alone that there was even a safe in the room. We never saw it, but were told it was inside a closet. They finally gave a credit on my credit card. Upon checkout, there was no one at the front desk. There was a woman in the breakfast area eating and using her computer. A second lady came in a few minutes later with more coffee. The first employee did not even attent to the desk while her co-worker went to get coffee.
The woman who got the coffee then printed my bill, when I mentioned about the charge for the safe, she did not know what to do. The second woman then told her to issue a credit to my care.
While the facility was nice and clean, the staff is very incompetent.
