I read the reviews that the hotel has been updated. There is fresh paint over pealing paint. The smell was musty for it to be a nonsmoking room. I would not recommend this hotel. I checked out the next day.

I was unsatisfy with the room that I had paid for. I would not recommend any to stay at this motel.

We have stayed many weeks for business in the past two years.
All the staff have been very friendly and helpful, plus helped with
reservations in Jacksonville, Fl. for business as well.
The motel is close to many places to eat and shop.

We were traveling to the mountains in NC on a family vacation with my brothers and their families and my parents. We wanted to stop mid-way at an inexpensive place. After booking this place via priceline I read the reviews and was very concerned about the quality. So I called the hotel and spoke with someone named Kevin Wims and requested the 4 rooms to be adjacent with 1King and 3 Doubles. I also expressed my apprehensions about the cleanliness and quality. He assured me that a new manager had taken over and things were much different. I was still apprehensive yet turns out that once we got there we were pleasantly surprised. Throughout our trip this was the only hotel that met all our requests. It is no Hyatt (where we usually stay) but for the money it is fantastic and the new manager is doing a good job. I spoke with her the next morning and she advised me that reviews from past were hurting the business but she is committed to keep it clean and a nice place. She is hot too :-)....Overall great value.
