Single mom of three hyper kiddos by myself visiting family, thought it was goin to be awful by myself and it turned out that it was the best stay ever. They helped me with my children getting them breakfast from their breakfast bar (jimmy dean sausage biscuits, real fruit) wow that was the best continental breakfast ive ever had. They even helped me keep a closer eye on the kids while they played in the pool. The employess of Key West INN in Baxley GA Thank you sooo much for a wonderful experience

Let's see...where to begin. I did not have much choice there is NOTHING in Baxley. I expected no palace but I didn't expect so much mold and mildew the carpet was wet and our room smelled like a cat had urinated all over. Cigarette burns on all the bedding...a strange crusty stain all over the lounge chair. The morning maids were sooooo loud in the am. Yelling and laughing in the halls all morning, we got no rest. I opened my door to unattended children, still in diapers, running all through the halls. Just a very low class, run down establishment. It is obvious that the owner is a tightwad and does nothing to improve this building. I will definately try staying in Hazelhurst next time even though it is 20 minutes out of my way...oh I almost forgot...The pool looked like a swamp!

The cleanliness, professionalism, and overall quality of this hotel is seriously lacking in Baxley GA. It was by far the worst hotel experience I have ever had. My room was not serviced on July 12. I was given an excuse that the privacy sign was on the door. It was not but someone came in and took the used towels but didn't replace any and did not make the beds. The room smelled awful like the carpet was soiled. The buffet breakfast was atrocious. Very limited selection and it was not kept stocked for the amount of guests at the hotel this particular weekend. The dining area was not kept clean but the hotel staff were seen socializing at the front desk or watching TV oblivious to guest concerns. The staff lacked professionalism in dress and appearance and overall contact with the public. If this is what is meant by affordable accomodations, I will pay the extra $20 and drive the extra mileage to Vidalia GA.

From what I can gather there are only 3 motels in this town...so...this may well be the best of the lot.
The Key West Chain of motels is one I have occasionally seen but not stayed in before. They seem to have about 20 properties in the SE U.S.
I don't think this is a flagship property for this chain but it is decent and worth the price. We were charged $69.44 (including tax).
The pool seemed to be clean and was being enjoyed by quite a few people when I checked in. I didn't get a chance to check out the breakfast properly but I grabbed a cup of coffee and there seemed to be some variety there.
The room was a good size and was clean. The furniture seemed to be in good shape also.
Overall, not bad and worth the price - nothing fancy.
