We stayed here three times in the last four years, for the Indians spring training. This year we brought our daughter, son-in-law, and grandson. OK, so it's not quite as squeaky clean as other motels, but it's also a heck of a lot cheaper than any other chain motel in town. We always go over to the Albertson's and buy some Lysol cleaner, and wipe down the doorknobs, phone, remote control, etc. But you should do that in any motel, don't you think? The sheets were clean, the mattresses were comfortable, and the place was quiet. There were plenty of other Indians fans there, as well. It's not perfect, but for about $60, it's the best value in town. And everyone there is nice, from the front desk to the cleaning staff. There is a Walgreen's and an Albertson's within walking distance, and it's in a safe neighborhood. The motel, in fact, is quite representative of Winter Haven in general, sort of stuck in a time warp, like in the 60's -- not quite what you expected, but it grows on you. I will miss Winter Haven, Chain of Lakes Park, and the good old Super 8.
