The location is clean and comfortable and very close (at) the Town center. It is a typical timeshare resort in the Fort Lauderdale area. It is rather small in comparison to others, but the rooms are large and very clean. There is a small pool and other amenities. The B units are smaller, with uncomfortable pullouts.

The biggest drawback for me was the internet service at this location. If you enjoyed the days of dialup service, and sloooooow internet, then you'll love this. There is wifi, but at a cost of $50.a week. Seeing that most places have it free, this was a unpleasant surprise. There are a few computers for guests, but they are slow with dirty keyboards. The public library is down the street, with wifi, plus starbucks and other places with free wifi nearby. But if you are staying at a location such as this and by 2012, free wifi is a must. I had better internet service (free) in the middle of Death Valley.

If not using internet is okay with you, then this place is fine, but if you need this service, look elsewhere.

We chose Mizner Place for our 23rd anniversary honeymoon for the location ( we wanted to explore Miami and the Keys).Our biggest complain was the bed: we could actually feel the springs and when we get on it and move, it squeaked and hard to sleep ( we were pretty stiffed after a week). When we checked in, I asked for an upper unit because I like views from higher angles; the guy immediately said they had no availability when there's not very many guests and the parking garages wasn't full---he was just too lazy to look into accomodating us. They were persistent to get us to attend 'sales presentation' which we persistently refused, especially after our experience at check-in. On clean-up day, we asked the housekeeping person for a certain time; when we came back, it wasn't clean and no clean towels. So, we waited, and when we came back the second time, still nothing was done. My husband went to talk to the customer service who sent him to the housekeeping department and they took care of the situation right away...The thing is, they shouldn't be GOLD CROWN because accomodations and service just do not match up...AND WE DIDN'T GET OUR MONEY'S WORTH...

I have stayed in this "resort" three years in a row. The first two years it was adequate, nothing great. Service is always poor. The guest relations staff are poorly trained and act anoyed if you need anything. The second day of my stay I told guest relations that I had no AC. My room was 75 degrees. The front desk reluctantly called some individual who showed up at my room to llok at the AC. He had a seroius attitude problem. It was obvious that I was disturbing something that he was doing. I suspect he was sleeping on the job- he looked like he had just awakened. He informed me that the AC was working, however no air was coming out of the vents. I saw him the the dark hallway and told him that it was still not working; let's just say he had no interest. So no AC the whole stay. When I checkedf out and told the guest relations person about the AC, he informed that was to bad and that was go to go. This is an old facility with the worst service that I have every had. I intend to call RCI and let them know how poorly I was treated. I have read some of the reviews and their responses. It all falls on deaf ears. No satisfaction was had and I paid a lot of money for a room with no AC. Thanks for nothing Guest Relations.
