Due to the need to visit Cleveland Clinic Florida, we stayed a number of nights through the last year over a number of visits. We found the hotel to be most courteous and helpful with all our needs. The breakfast buffet is great and helps get the day going in the right direction. Our visits to the area were not for pleasure, but the fine folks at Hawthorn Suites made it much more bearable. We highly recommend this lodging for pleasure or otherwise. We were there in May 2011, July 2011, Sept 2011, Oct 2011, November 2011, Dec 2011 and Feb 2012.

This hotel is decent. Breakfast is not something I would write home about, especially the scrambled eggs, it's bad! Free coffee 24/7, and pretty fast wi-fi. There are few restaurants just outside of the hotel, quite convenient. The hotel staffs are very friendly. The only thing I really don't like is how loud and random the A/C unit is. It's old, and it has a mind of it's own. When it's on, feels like a jet engine rumbling nearby. And it turns on and off every 2 min or so. If you have no trouble sleeping through that, then it's all good!

My friends and I stayed at this hotel for a few days and it was not a decent room. the carpet was musty, the couch had an old mildew odor to it. I had to share the couch bed and it seemed as if room service forgot it existed b/c the sheets needed to be cleaned. the a/c made alot of noise every time it went off. and the vents had nothing but dust in them. let's not forget about the bed bugs. I woke up one morning to find my legs riddled with bumps and bite marks from scratching that night. bed bugs are the only conclusion I can come up with. on the positive side, the staff was very polite and courteous and breakfast was ok too!! in my opinion first impressions are everything, and i was not impressed with this hotel for the amount of money spent!! if i can help it, i won't be back.

The carpet in the room was dirty and stained. We kept our shoes on the whole time. There was a funny smell in the room. Also the bathtub had some kind of rust stain on it and there was rust in various spots in the bathroom. Service was ok and the breakfast buffet was ok as well. The wifi was very spotty and slow. We will not be going back.
