We stayed one night at this hotel. We were in town for a concert at the ampitheater. We got a very good deal through priceline. The front desk staff and cleaning staff that we interacted with were very nice and professional. The room we stayed at was on the second floor facing the parking lot and I-95. The room was a little out dated-the bathroom fixtures were obviously old, but they were mostly nicely maintained. The hotel had updated the bathroom sink-it was granite. The hotel had made attempts to update the room by providing modern decor. The age of the room could be seen in several spots: the grout in the bathroom floor was stained, the wallpaper in the bathroom was loose or peeling in a few place, the bathtub was older. The bed was comfortable even though it was older (when I checked for cleanliness, I noticed that the mattress covering was ripped at the seam and I could actually see the mattress stuffing/contents if I pulled it back). Even though our room faced the interstate, we were not bothered by the traffic. With a TV or AC on, we could not hear traffic at all. Without those items on, we had to strain to hear it. We did not eat at the hotel, but a nice dining area was provided. The hotel also had a business area with at least three computers-and they were newer computers (unlike some hotels that have outdated computers that don't work well). Based on other reviews, we were a little worried about the area this hotel was in. As we approached the hotel, we noticed lots of homeless people in the intersection of the nearest major cross-street (with signs asking for money). There was also a large sign nearby (maybe placed by the police department) that advised locking car doors and protecting personal property. While we were at the hotel, however, we did not notice any signs of crime. The hotel is in a business park-you actually have to enter the business park to get to the hotel, so it is seperated from other local establishments. We did not even notice the restaurant/strip club that other reviews have mentioned. I gave the room only three stars for cleanliness because even though I thought the room was clean, I could tell that some attention to detail had not been met. I found some candy rappers and a lollipop stick around the room when I was checking the room upon our arrival. Also, when changing the sheets, the cleaning staff should have noticed the rip in the mattress seam. Because of the value, how quiet the hotel was, and how comfortable the bedding/pillows were, I would stay at this hotel again.
