“The place for tennis instruction”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

Outstanding place to go for an intensive tennis learning experience. By and large, the instructors are all very good at teaching and playing tennis, and find different ways of working on your tennis issues. Nice strething program, which is entertaining, followed by 3 hours of 4:1 student instructor at most, sometimes you may be the only one. Students are put together by abilities, but if things are not working, or you dont mesh with the style of your instructor, Howard, the head honcho is very quick at making comfortable reassignments. Afternoon is another two hours, should you choose and is made in part of fun competitive playing out of points. There are a variety of court surfaces, and sometime you can play on grass. There are some high ranked touring pros around for you to see as well. A great experience.
The resort is very nice, with a large pool and decent restaraunts at the resort and in the vicinity. Room that I stayed in a few times was very comfortable. Well worth travelling from California. If you are a gluton for punishment, they have a very good golf training facility as well.

“Just back from another great visit to Saddlebrook!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

Saddlebrook is a gem if you love good food, tennis, golf, getting in a great workout just relaxing by the pool! We stayed in the Walking Village and were conveniently located to everything the resort has to offer. I did three mornings in the Hopman Tennis Program and loved it. We played at least 18 every day and both Saddlebrook & Palmer courses are in excellent shape. Celebrated a birthday dinner at Dempsey's that was delicious. Can't wait to go back soon!!

Room Tip: Request to stay in the Walking Village

“great place to stay and play”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

If you love to play tennis and golf, this is the place to stay. I am a 5.0 tennis player and the tennis instructor was first class. He was into making us work on the court as well as having fun. I recommend the tennis clinics from 8 to 11 every morning then a nice relaxing lunch poolside then the use of the spa or a round of golf.
Every single tennis pro is accessible and will give a tennis lesson if asked. A very good pro was Olig, ask for him. Howard runs the tennis clinics and he was very friendly and knowledgeable. Both restaurants were very nice for dinner at night. No need to leave the facility as it was all there.
Have a great time.

“Beautiful, relaxing in a great natural setting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 February 2012

My wife and I went to the Saddlebrook for a business forum. It was a nice surprise, very relaxing, it has an open and beautiful setting with lots of wildlife. We don't golf or play tennis but from what I saw of the accomodations they were very nice. Everyone we came into contact from the Valets to the Front Desk to Waiters and Bell Hops were very friendly, professional and accomodating as you would expect in a venue of this type. The Dempsy's Restaurant and the pool bar were very good. The pool area is spledid and large. It is nice and roomy so you are not on top of others. There were plenty of lounges and both the water and grounds were imaculate. The hot tubs were nice and on the private side, but were lacking in water pressure. The 2 bed room suite was private and a short walk to everything. It had a full kitchen and the whole suite made you feel very at home. The housekeeping was lacking a little. Trays from room service were left out in the open to long and overnight. Things could have used a little more finish or polish to match the rest of the resort,as both our full bathrooms could have been more sanitarily cleaned. The outside of both toilets had old urine stains.
This is not a "NEW" resort where everything is made of concrete and is steril, but that is what I believe gives the Saddlebrook it's home away from home feeling. Other than the above mentioned toilet issue I would gladly come back.

“Beautiful resort, great tennis and relaxation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2012

I was here for a business conference and enjoyed the resort very much. The grounds are lovely and the food was excellent. The rooms are nicely furnished, not everything is brand new, but it was quiet with very comfortable beds and a nice balcony overlooking the grounds. The staff was helpful and friendly and even went out of their way to help us on teambuilding activities. I had a little recreation time and the tennis facilities were great. The weather in January was fabulous coming from the midwest!
