“No Problems -- I'd Give It A GOOD If I Could!”

I was a bit concerned when I read some of the earlier reviews on this property until I realized they were several years old.

I rate it "average" only because there is no "good" rating. It was good. Just not VERY good.

We booked a king bed room, non smoking. It was a pretty decent sized room complete with a desk AND another table with two chairs. The bed was super comfy. The vanity area was nice and large. The room was quiet.

There was a pool but we didn't use it.

Free Wi-Fi was appreciated. Although we didn't eat any of the breakfast, it looked nice enough. Also appreciated the complimentary USA Today.

Only down sides were we had trouble with our room key working twice and the handle in the shower was just about ready to fall off. Still, the shower worked and the water pressure was fine.

We were there visiting family who live a few miles away. There is a good chance will be back next January for a night or two. We won't hesitate to book here again.

“Nice updated place, clean and close to the Mermaid show”

We stayed here due to it being one of only two hotels close to the Weeki Wachee Springs park. The comfort inn looked a little shady so we picked this place. The front desk manager was very polite. The lobby was nice and clean. Wide stairway up to second floor to make carrying bags up easier.

The room was relatively updated. Recent paint, new bedding, tile work, granite sink, new toilet, and excellent Philips LCD TV. We got a room with the whirlpool tub, very relaxing. the tub was a carryover from before the remodel. We enjoyed the clean room and the breakfast. I love those waffle makers. Every hotel should have them. Coffee was awful and there was no hot water for the teabags, oatmeal, and hot cocoa packets they had. I had to take my oatmeal up to my room and make hot water in the coffee maker.

Swimming pool is outdoor and not heated.

“Don't go.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 March 2008

Were told the place was re-done and yes it was but cheaply a few coats of paint do not cut it. Carpet was dirty so dirty that dye and dirt came off our feet in the shower; I had to wash my child’s feet before putting on her shoes after she took a shower and walked on the carpet bare foot. Cheap fast interior paint job, old and worn / loose lights towel racks and lamps and table looked beat. Shower was bad and only half the water would come out the showerhead and the other half out the tub faucet. Not to be groose here but pubic hairs were on the bathroom floor and the bathroom smelled and the vent was quite fuzzy with dust. AC/heating unit vibrated and chattered all night I had to stuff paper towels in the seams to quiet it down. It was nice to have a microwave and fridge in the unit but the fridge was noisy and creaked big time when opening and closing and the microwave rotary unit did not work. Road noise was unacceptable I would not recommend this place to anyone.

“Don't stay there.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 October 2007

If the decor was the only problem, it really wouldn't have been a problem, but there was so much more. My mother and I stayed 4 nights. The room was not clean. There was hair in the tub, mold on the shower curtain, duct tape in the tub, bugs in the overhead light fixture in the bathroom, rust on nearly every metal fixture and dirt caked on the hairdryer cord. Also, there was a hole in the wall in the bathroom caused by the door handle. The faucet looked as if it had not been wiped for days. While cleanliness is my biggest concern, there were other problems. The continental breakfast was adequate at best. The donuts were stale. Breakfast was only served from 6:00 to 9:00 a.m., even on the weekend. One evening when we returned, the door to our room was not closed completely. Fortunately, nothing seemed to be missing. The air conditioning ran constantly, and I mean constantly, but the temp knob appeared to have no effect on the room temp. I would not stay there again, even if it were free.

“horrible place”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 July 2007

THIS WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE WE HAVE HAD IN HOTELS IN OUR LIVES.

WE CALLED TO MAKE SURE THE INTERNET CONNECTIONS ACTUALLY WORK AND WAS REASSURED IT DID.
WELL GUESS WHAT IT DIDN'T ! we had to goto the main office and connect there and we are sure we are the not the only people who had this issue and we were given some poor excuses as to why we could not connect. Being into computers for well over 20 years we know better.

The room was filled with mildew as the bathroom was leaking from the floor above paint was falling down in a large section and mildew was on the ceiling over the tub room 110

We would never go back to this place We suggest you don't either.

We have issues with some poor excuses and not told the truth.
