You would think this day in age finding a handicapped accessable room complete with roll in shower would not be difficult. Wrong! I live in Charlotte County, just south of Venice. My son who is in a wheelchair needed a accessable room for his visit. There are no such rooms that I found other than this place in all of Venice,North Port, Englewood and Port Charlotte. Some claimed they did but did not have roll in shower. My quest included visits to various hotels as well as calls to the Chamber of Commerce in Venice and Englewood to no avail.

We are a group of bicyclists that have stayed at the BW Venice a number of times. We keep coming back because of the great service and hospitality we receive from the staff and management. The rooms are clean and nice and roomy. The staff could not be more accommodating, and will try to fulfill any request.

My wife and I spent two nights at the Ambassador Suites in Venice and found it to be an enjoyable stay. Located near Interstate 75, a short drive (10 minutes) to downtown Venice and Sharky's Grill on the Pier, and close to Englewood and Englewood Beach, we found the location to be ideal. For those considering a longer stay, it is conveniently located near a Cracker Barrel, MacDonalds, Publix's grocery store, and a coffee shop. We chose, however, to take advantage of the complimentary warm breakfast served every morning at the hotel. The breakfast spread featured both a hot entry as well an array of breads/buns, cereals and fruits.
The room was clean, spotless in fact, and spacious. We had a room with two queen beds, a sitting area, microwave, small refrigerator, and a fully stocked coffee service area. We had more than an ample supply of fluffy pillows for the beds and large fluffy towels in the bathroom.
One of the nicest aspects of the stay was the staff. From our initial phone call to make the reservation to answering our questions about the room and general environs once we were there, the staff was incredibly helpful. We dealt most frequently with Marie who could not do enough for you. She is the person, by the way, who bakes the complimentary chocolate chip cookies in the evening.
The first night of our stay, our air conditioner was not operating at full capacity. We reported it in the morning, and they called us later to tell us they would move us to another room. We appreciated their responsiveness and their immediate attention to the problem.
Finally, I had an opportunity to use their workout facility which is small but well-equiped and clean.
We have definitely put the hotel down as a place to return to.
